A friend of mine has this monitor and it rocks for a 17" however it could never beat my Trinitron.. Too bad we can't get a Trinitron 17" for $150 I'd buy two and have a triple trinitron monitor setup.. but suffice it to say if you are in the market for a 17" at this price this is the one to get so jump on it people!

i was just checking the details, and i think some site said this was a "top of the line shadowmask monitor"... so for all of your aperture grille snobs, looks like we're outta luck. =) it's still flat tho, so it should look good, even though it's a shadowmask... i guess i'm out for this deal. =T

i bought the kds 17" flat display aperture grille avitron a few weeks back, and that monitor was a really good deal. it uses the sony trinitron tube and it shows! =)

The monitor is already $223.99 on Staples site?

I just called 1-800-3STAPLE, told em my area code, 48109 - Ann Arbor, and then had to point out that at Onvia the shipping was free for 3-7 day ground. SO the CSR I talked to, LeAnn, ran it through and found that since there shipping would take 7 days, then they would match it.

Got the monitor and a nifty mechanical pencil to bump it over $200. CSR applied the $40 off $200 and free shipping. After MIR should be about $140. Thanks a lot!!

i just tried to place one in with pricematch and $40 off on $200.
everything went smoothly
pm and addition of Kensington Monitor View Clip for 4.04.

then when i tried to use the coupon to cut $40,
the csr told asked me where i got the coupon from.
and then i politely said... from online.
well, he told me that it's a some special dividends coupon or something...
and that he won't be able to honor it since i got it from the net.

well...
i suppose i should try again with another csr.

just thought i'd let you'll know.
