And no option can fix it. Also, in the upper right-hand corner there is a black gap that cannot be fixed. Dammit, I was so excited when I got it today too! Should have gove with the Dell Sony G400 look-alike because my KDS Trinitron was great... I guess RMA time now. Anyone know how Dell is with returns? BTW, the left side is OK, but the right side is much blurrier. Could it be fixed by an option I missed?

Um, did you actually read my post? I said my KDS Trinitron was great. Also, you could click on my rig and find out that I have Radeon. BTW, text is bothering me the most, blurry

What about buying a BNC cable and see if that solves the problem. They are fairly cheap and produce a clearer image. You haven't got a HiFi speaker, microwave or TV sitting next to the monitor have you????

Nope, I don't. I think it's bad that it's blurry ALREADY with a regular connection. My previous monitor was fine with it, so I don't see why I would have to spend $20 more just to have the text nice and sharp.

Yeah, I think the monitor is probably fubar'ed if your previous KDS Trinitron was okay. Why'd you get rid of the KDS? Was it a smaller size? My KDS AV-21TF is sitting happily in front of me.

A friend I know just got a Sony G400. It's NICE! but also very expensive...It'd leave a whole in my pocket if I were to get it *sigh*.

The 420 left a hole in my pocket. I'm having problems with it though. I have a brown area in the lower right hand corner that I shouldn't have to deal with and I have some geometry problems.

I called Dell and waited on hold for forever, so it seemed. I finally got through and the CSR transferred me to tech support. I got tired of waiting, so I just hung up and sent a CSR an email instead. Haven't heard back from them yet.

I read the back of the receipt for my monitor and it says that they will send out a replacement and arrange to pick up the defective unit. The only question is that if they are going to believe that I have a defective unit.

I told them in my email that I don't need to talk to tech support because I know that the problem can't be resolved through settings. Besides, why should I have to correct for that when my POS 17" monitor does not have these problems? Call me crazy, but I expect a little more from a $500+ monitor.

My 900NF was also blurry too when i first got it, but it was bearable after some tweaking. Then I slowly noticed that the picture became clearer after 2 weeks...with a little bit more tweaking i got it to work good now.
