Samsung 930BF, or 940B

Looking at getting one of these two monitors, but not really sure which one would be better for gaming.
My first choice would be the Hyundai L90D+, but way too many peopl having problems with them lately, so that monitor is out. The BenQ 937S+ also seems like a decent monitor, but I think I'd rather pay a little more for a Samsung model.

The 930BF gets very good reviews, but the 940B is cheaper.
Just looking for any input on either of these two LCD's.

Either the 940B or I recommend the Viewsonic VX922. I upgraded from a 930B and the colors are much better out of the box, and the black levels are much better than the 930B.

Well I know the 940B is an improvement over the 930B, but the 930BF is definitely not the same as the 930B. It's actually a totally different model.
The 930B seemed to be plagued with backlight bleeding issues, as well as just not being a real good monitor. So going with the 940B, which is just an newer rev. of the 930B makes me a little hesitant.

As for the VX922, I read the THG review of it and it didn't fair near as well as the 930BF.

I'm VERY curious myself as to which you guys recommend...I'm about to buy one of these two in the next couple days and could use some guidance...

ditto here, after looking at several models (Samsung 930b, 940b, Viewsonic VX924) I think that I'm leaning toward the 940b. I made my decision based on customer reviews from the egg and Samsung's excellent track record with dead pixels. Now it would be nice if the egg put it back on sale and dropped the shipping like over thanksgiving.

I have a 940b and its great, text is super clear and everything is bright & colorful but needs alot of ajusting, mine also has no backlight issues whatsoever. I got it on BF when it was $300 price has raised a litttle since then, another good monitor on sale now is the VX924 for about $290 AR at buy.com that you guys should look into as well as that new widescreen 19" made by viewsonic.

940B is sweet for the money. I thought I needed a highly adjustable base and all the extras. I sat up nights spanking my junk pondering the choices.

940B is good.

The 930BF seems to have some response problems according to both X-Bit Labs and Tom's Hardware Guide. Maybe it won't be too bad but I'm not sure. THG says video noise. One gamer said he didn't notice it so it's hard to say.
