Samsung 940B/740B owners, get in here please....

Hey all

I've been lurking for the past 2 months and thanks to xtknight and others (that thread is very nice stuff) I finally decided to get a new monitor

Got a 740B, since what I needed was a general usage monitor
I didn't obviuosly expect it was nicely calibrated out of the box, but overall I'm quite disappointed with the image quality.
It's way too much bright, text looks like crap and the colors are not even near as good as my 5 years old Iiyama

I've played around with the Nvidia panel control and a Samsung software called "natural Color 2.0"....but the results are still meh

I'd like to have any possible suggestion
what're your settings, which software could I use and such
or should I send it back and get something else

games look VERY good though, i've played BF2 for 10 mins and it's stunning

I own a 940b and the picture quality is pretty nice, text is always crisp for me and after a few adjustments i found a perfect sweetspot. My settings are:
Natural color-->color preference: all my bars (blue, green, red) are at 1.05
Magic Tune-->color control: red-53 green-54 blue-56
When reading text and photos i use brightness at 45 and contrast 59
When playing games i crank the brightness up to 65-70 and contrast stays the same.

still have some trouble when playing movies though
image is not as natural as my old Iyama. I can see the artifacts

anyway I've received it today. I'll have 5 more days to think about if I nhave to send it back or not

I've had the 940B for months now and its looks great. text are crips & no ghosting in games. I haven't messed with a single setting, except brightness so I guess i'm not to picky
