just recieved this monitor today i don't know about anyone else but i can almost count the pixels on the screen,my cheap 19''envision looks alot better to me,has anyone else come across this?worst picture i've
seen yet.

I bought this monitor too, and I can see the pixels as well. But I got used to it in a few days, and the text and pictures look very crisp. In game, you can't even see them, I mostly see the pixels with a white background. Overall I am very satisfied with it, especially since it was $161 shipped

do me a favor and run it at at least 1280x1024/75..and compare it. I dont know what resolution your review is based on.

Anyway it would contradict *any* test about the 950p i have ever read...and actually i plan to get one, too.

strange...because the 950p is said to be good especially for text....

yeah, there is something definately 'wrong' here. The 950P is consistenly in the top 10 for 19" monitor reviews for the price/performance reg. crispness and text sharpness, I've stopped reading the reviews there were so many postive ones.

I just picked up 2 950Ps to replace my currently 900P - pretty much the predecessor to the 950P - I also purchased this monitor because it has the same positve review track record for the price/size.

I run my desktop (on the 900P) @ 1280x1024 and everything is crisp and clear, I can comment on the 950P, but I expect this monitor to be atleast the same performance as the 900P. I agree w/flexy that you are probably running your resolution much lower, I changed my resolution over to 640x480 and it was damn scary, It was like a bad flashback, pixels jumping out of the screen at me. Either this is the case, or you have some prob. with your video card and/or drivers, IMO. Just my .02c.

I'm runnning 1280x960 @ 85Hz right now. And with a white background, I can almost see these lines straight up and down ALL the way across the screen. My friend noticed them and almost freaked, but they don't bother me. Everything is very crisp and I love this monitor, but it is a concern, considering it didn't do this on my old monitor (Dell 17"). Now I can barely notice them, unless I look really hard. In games or if there is a lot of color on the screen I can't notice them at all.....

I had my Samsung 950 for a little over two years and haven't had any major problems with it. Then again, I run it at a resolution at 1280 x 1024 and it looks perfectly fine to me. Can't stand any resolution below than that. My cousin had the Samsung 900p and I noticed he had some weird color problems that just occurred out of the blue. Not sure if it was his monitor or video card, but it would just go away by itself.

i've alwayes ran my settings at 800x600 with no problems,im'e typing this now at 1280x1024 and i need a magnifine glass and can still see the pixels especialy in the task bar
where the explorer bar is,the rectangle box and i could also see the lines running across,more defined at the top in the blue bar.i can see this and i should be wearing glasses.

hmmm....if you run 1280x1024 or higher i'd recommend switching on 'large fonts' of course...so you don't need a magnifying glass....

But...the 'big pixel problem' really worries me... i knew that the 950p may have a somewhat larger dotpitch...but i never found that mentioned as problem anywhere....instead only raves about its picture quality.......makes me think about going with the optiquest Q95 instead maybe [which i use at
work]....and it also got high ratings at pcworld and its cheap.....

very confused about the 950p now......
