The tube is Samsung's own. It's perfectly flat screen, and I think the tube is more or less flat. I like this moniter, got one and it rocks.

Why not? It says it supports 1600x1200. I don't want to buy it if I won't be able to run at 1600x1200 (at least in games).

Edit: I see...it only runs 1600x1200 @68hz. I really wanted to buy too!

I have this monitor and yes the image will jump to the side (but not shake) BUT it does that only in the first couple minutes...once it has been on for a few minutes it is perfect and it really does rock! I got mine for $186 from Dell last year after rebate.

Sigh, my monitor does the shimmy even after being on for 15 minutes. Oddly, the 1600*1200 setting is ok, just between 1024-1600 is where the shimmy happens. I think I'm going to need to Radeon VE drivers because I get the "portal/blinder" type of view (auto scrolling) on the desktop at the 1600*1200 resolution.

I'm looking at the screen on this 955DF and am very inpressed. The clarity of the text and the colors are great. I did use the color correction program that came with the monitor and it worked great. Very happy!

I had this monitor for a good 6 months and loved it. I was running at 1600x1200 but it can only do it at 60hz. It started to hurt my eyes so i turned it down to 1280x1024. I am using a Radeon 8500 btw.

As for the screen, the glass is perfectly flat, but the tube is not. You can tell that the glass at the edges is thicker than in the middle. The colors are clean and the picture is very sharp.

I had to dump that for my new 19" Planar LCD though........ man I will NEVER go back to CRT after this baby!

For $200 I say this monitor is a bargain. Defenitly worth it. For those of you not ready to take the plunge into LCD Land, I highly recommend this monitor.

Got this monitor from a Dell deal last year and ended up paying 170 after using AMEX BVG. The monitor is great for the money. As someone pointed out the glass is flat but the tube is not. No biggie IMO

I just got this monitor and I concur that it OWNS! I don't use extremely high resolutions for anything, so it is perfect for me. I have a black one to go with my black case. As of yesterday, gaming on my pc is an event once again. UT2003 looks sweet as hell on this, even without the Radeon 9700 Pro upgrade I plan on getting!

This monitor replaced my 4 or 5 year old Sony 17inch, and man, this is leaps and bounds better.
