Basically, when I emailed samsung customer support, I received a reply in roughly ~2 days that said they'd shipped out a replacement monitor. Picked up the replacement, returned my old one, and been using it since.
However, I went home over the Christmas holiday (for roughly four weeks; from the middle of December until the middle of January), and when I came back, my screen was completely touching the base. The stand is now no longer able to hold up the weight of the screen whatsoever; it's propped up against the base, which is sitting on an old textbook to get everything eye level.
I emailed samsung about the problem a few weeks back, although I don't think I ever received a reply. I'm going to try calling them one of these days to see if I can just get a replacement stand instead. I figure tempting fate and going for three separate monitors with no dead pixels is too much of a gamble for me.
