Why dont you prove it besides just defending Samsung with no end?
I'm not sure what you expect as convincing proof other than an official statement or a low-level process analysis, both which you know you won't get. Like Arachnotronic said, let's agree to disagree and it's basically a matter of trusting source X or source Y.

Based on _your_ knowledge? Sorry abwx, your credentials are 0. That's why people tend to ask you for facts...that you cant deliver.

Hints that they are using LPP as well as TSMC is using 16FF+:
https://benchlife.info/problem-might-not-from-samsung-a9-soc-maybe-is-apple-issue-10242015/
Quoted from your own link:
目前 Samsung Electronics 14nm LPP 還未正式量產,最快導入該製程的將是 Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 及自家的 Exynos M1,投產時間預計在 2015 年第四季。
Roughly translated by google with some corrections from me:
Currently Samsung Electronics 14nm LPP [is not in] mass production, the [earliest] [chip] [on] the manufacturing process will be Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 and its own Exynos M1, production time is expected in the fourth quarter of 2015.
You couldn't have torped yourself better if you tried.

Lol, I m 100% sure based on my knowledge of transistors physics, and if you do not agree ask someone at Intel, preferably an enginer of course, for the rest you can keep on posting denials...

What is the actual difference between LPE and LPP..?.

I m sure you would be hard pressed to point what it really is about, yet you re making statements as if you had a clear idea.

More hot air.

Lets see where Global Foundries see the node at performance wise.

I am sure someone will make a spin on this.

Where exactly did this image originate? This looks like the type of graph I would make if I wanted to try to sell old stock.

And the second slide tells absolutely nothing about the segment it targets and capabilities. Nice try tho.

If we was to believe those slides for actual segments, we all be using 10Ghz CPUs and GPUs sipping power.

You should read before posting...
I see that it says Global Foundries. I was asking for the initial purpose of the image. Who was it made for? The information conveyed can drastically change depending on the intended audience.

Wide range of applications

  • Mobile and wireless – lower watts per GHz
  • Computer, network and storage – more performance per watt

To give an exact idea of the perf/Watt improvement for say a Kaveri or a Kabini if shrinked to 14nm LPP from their current nodes, all numbers are here in front of everybody s face, assuming of course that one know what transistors are, at least on a basic fashion...

So i guess that it s not adressed to sale people as such, or rather the recipient must be a little more than a marketing guy.

we were posting GlobalFoundries slides not Samsung.

Slide say that Kaveri perf/Watt would be improved by 2x+ if shrinked to 14nm LPP, this is a summary of the data they published a few months ago in an engineers dedicated conference.

Seems that the ITS is bashing everyone and INBF they claim that 16 nm TSMC and 14 nm Samsung nodes are fake and the only one is Saint Intel

Can anyone give links where Samsung or TSMC have claimed that they have achieved volume production by Q2 2015 for lpp and ff+ respectively. If not, A9 couldn't have been produced on those. If lpp or FF+ were available then, we would already have seen Pascal and Arctic island gpus by now.

Samsung announced that LPP was already going through volume production in august with several customers. That means it began before that date.

The released Xilinx Ultrascale+ is also based on TSMC 16FF+.

No, we would not already have seen new GPUs due to cost. NVidia and AMD cant afford to pay the same as others. And unlike previous there is no cost reduction in transistor cost.
