Along with the Bionic.

The vzw version will have lte and so will the att version.

That'd be smart. AT&T has some catching up to do as far as Android phone selection, and this will help. If they offer the same powerful phone in both qwerty and touch only they'd be able to cover both consumers.

I really wish I had a keyboard on my current phone. Not just for typing but also because I like to play Snes and GBA roms. Having a hard keyboard to map buttons to makes it sooo much better.

This is the only thing I ever used physical keyboards for on my Android phones, and it definitely is a nice plus, but it's not a deal breaker for me personally.

Keyboard would be a instant DO NOT BUY for me..
I wont use it and the thickness and the foldout mechanic are not wanted at all by me.. give me the regular thin slab form factor..

on screen keyboards are far superior now.

Verizon first:

Industry analyst Paul Mueller spoke today on the Samsung Galaxy S II, noting that according to his intel, the device will be coming out extremely soon, and with Verizon as a carrier about a month before anywhere else. He spoke rather specifically, saying that the Galaxy S II would very possibly be in the states in mid August (2 to 3 weeks from now,) and that Samsung would indeed be marketing the device directly against the iPhone.

Well we've barely confirmed which ones were actually coming to the states, let alone price. There still might be a price difference that would make the Bionic better (or "good enough") for some.

Looks more like a rep said more than they were supposed to and are backtracking.

My guess is they don't want to cannibalize Bionic sales, so they'll hold off on announcing whether or not the SII has LTE for as long as possible.

Personally I have become wary of HTC phones because of their extremely lackluster battery life. If those specs are accurate, I don't even want to think about how long a full charge will last.
