I'm super curious if they're going to actually hit that June date.

Because that would be super compared to the previous two offerings.

Looks like just an updated Galaxy Nexus, which is what I was expecting. The software is where it's at these days.

Rumours say LTE version will be using a Snapdragon S4

I wish they would say if it's using the power efficient 28nm process like in the HTC ONE or something else. I know I have a friend waiting for an LTE phone with decent battery life.

Huh, why the same benchmarks so different between the two?

CPU-wise, there should be no difference between the Tegra3 and Exynos since they're just A9 cores. If they're clocked the same the result should be almost the same.

Exynos has dual channel ram and likely a faster gpu.

Snapdragon S4 is only manufactured in 28nm process so i think thats pretty much guaranteed. Combine that with a 2100 mah battery and battery life should be pretty good

No Super AMOLED HD Plus? Just regular HD?

Hm... while I love my G-Nex, Pentile is seriously... creeping up my nerves.

I'm sure the GPU is certainly faster but it's only graphics benchmarks that are limited by memory bandwidth on phones usually (since it's all shared).

Engadget has lower results (that are in-line with other A9 chips) so it's rather strange.

The benchmarks are confusing because engadget shows the S4 (ATT) One X beating the GS3.

GSMArena seems like is comparing the GS3 to the Tegra 3 international version.

Seems like the S4 ATT One X is the best?

Anand brought up a good point though:
The Galaxy S III is significantly faster than anything else we've ever tested thus far. The browsing experience in general is very good on the SGS3, and the advantage here likely has more to do with Samsung's browser code and the fact that it's running Android 4.0.4 rather than any inherent SoC advantage. We know how 1.4GHz Cortex A9s should perform, and this is clearly much better than that.
We need to see the One X with Android 4.0.4

Way faster GPU though. I hope the USA version with have the S4 Pro or else the International version will be much better for 3D.

S4 GPU likely won't hold a candle, but... surprisingly, it does pretty well. Also, it seems like dual-core CPU S4 is comparable to quad-core CPU Exynos.

In that case, I'd think 2 faster cores > 4 slower cores in any practical measure.

I dont trust glbenchmark anywhere near a mali-400 after gs2 offscreen scores at 720p skyrocketed compared to its native wvga scores. This issue could easily why the gs3 trounces everything in glbench, but not in anything else.

If you're going to start conspiracy theories, then there's no point in trusting anyone.

It's not conspiracy theory but rather that GLBenchmark Offscreen mode is a very flawed test. Some GPUs need to do more work in order to render to screen than others so removing that step makes for a test that doesn't reflect real life.

Specifically flawed with MALI 400. Also, like the article stated the insane browsing score is most likely attributed to thorough optimization of software. Take those 2 things into account and you've got nothing more than a competitive SoC, and what's wrong with that? The rest of the entire package seems to have quite a few things going for it, msdxc slot and large removable battery.

Performance seems really good, my only complaints are the screen and the lack of LTE.
