This is a bad attitude, and also wrong. Gaming is mainstream, especially if you listen to some of the resident iFanatics here who constantly gripe that only iOS has good games. You need to get the hardware into consumer hands before developers will develop for the hardware . . . and under your logic, there's no need for that powerful hardware since developers aren't coding for it.

And finally, yes, people do actually do some light photo editing on their phones. The apps are available and I do routinely tweak snap shots.

Back on topic though, I grow weary of correcting people sometimes. Latest SGS3 rumor to hit the blogosphere.

Inductive charging from 2 meters away? I want.

The flaw in your reasoning is that you assume more cores = better performance

Sandy Bridge E with more cores has shown 3% performance increase over a regular I5 2500K in gaming at 3x the cost.

If you are going to correct anyone. Atleast know what you are talking about first

2m seems like a bit much, especially considering all current inductive chargers require physical contact to charge through the case (range is usually something like 5mm).

I know I'm a Luddite but it's never really bothered me to use that extra bit of cognitive and muscle energy in my hands to take a cord and plug it into the socket on the phone to charge it. I know with wireless charging I'll be saving myself a good 4 or 5 seconds of life by not having to execute that tricky maneuver with the cord and socket each time.....

Hogan773: Its not just time/effort. Wireless charging also means one less cord to trip over at night or yank the phone out of your hands when you go to answer. Wireless also puts less stress on the mUSB port, leading to fewer broken phones. Good for consumers and good for the manufacturer.

Personally, long as you can still charge on a USB cord if you wanted to, I'd love cordless charging on my phone.

Not to mention when you're in the car and need to charge your phone. Inductive charging should be built into ALL phones at this point, especially now that there's a de-facto standard in place.

Wouldn't wireless charging take longer though?
It takes me 2.5 hours to charge my phone from 0% to 100% using mUSB from an electrical outlet.
I assume wireless charging would take me 4-5+ hours or something because there would be more loss in efficiency compared to charging the regular way?
I'm only basing it on the theory that "wireless" anything is slower than wired.

iOS doesn't have good games because it has insane graphics. The iPad 3 and iPad 2 set the trend with graphics, but please, the iPhone 4 had PLENTY of great games that were developed for it. so the cell phone had decent graphics til the 4S came out 5 months ago.

Game developers don't have incentives to develop for Android when they have to make it work for low res, WVGA, qHD, 720p HD, tablet resolutions, etc. Fragmentation. It's real. And if you don't believe it, SmugMug released a camera for iPhone, and then they cited fragmentation and integration issues for the Android delay.

My friend showed me a few iOS games today that were retarded. Tiny Tower? Zombie Gunship? Zombie Highway? Yeah, all simple and sure no big deal, but none of these were on Android. Nor were similar clones.

Tiny Tower has been available for Android for months now.

From my experience induction charging does take longer. I'd still like to see a phone use it though.

That's fine but you still need a cord/device to plug into the wall to feed the little inductive charger. Its not like they just pull energy straight from the cosmos or something. So you need to carry around the inductive charger, which is probably the same or more than carrying around the wall wart and cord. Am I wrong?

But the key is you only have to plug it in once as opposed to having to plug and unplug every single time.

For me the big deal with inductive charging will be in the car. I currently use a cradle something similar to this. It would be really nice if I could just plug that cradle into the adapter in the car and leave it there permanently. Then whenever I hop in the car I just toss my phone on the cradle and blam-o, it's magically charging. No need to fumble with cables crapping up the cabin of the car.

Yes, hence my comment that I would be saving a good 3 or 4 seconds that I currently spend finding the USB socket with the cord!

And I'll bet the inductive charging apparatus is heavier to carry around if you travel than a travel charger.

I see the point re: damaging the USB socket. That's fair.

Whatever - I'm sure it's great - I just don't do backflips on stuff like this that are of dubious true value.

lol i've seen lots of people mangle computer plugs..mostly women.
That's why apple went to magsafe style plugs, they are really hard to mess up.
Hence inductive charge, which should also be really hard to mess up.

Omg if it had that design I would flip.

Best phone design of 2012 probably.

no, because such tiny bezels would mean that gripping the phone would register touches all along the edges.

phones need a minimum amount of bezel for a reason.

Obviously an April Fools joke, for those of you getting excited by the prospect of a Galaxy device that looks exactly like an iPhone.

It's people like you who make today boring. Can't you just let the joke run its course without ruining it before noon?

You can keep your motorola razr fat bezel's, i'll take a thin bezel any day of the week. Sensitivity at the edge of the screens pixels can be easily reduced if its a real issue.

Phone's don't need bezels. It's not like you're gripping it like a tablet. It's usually in your palm or something.
