Doesn't the new S4 active use an LCD screen?
S4 Active has a TFT LCD panel. Which is why I'm going to demo it when it arrives at AT&T. Can't stomach Samsung's OLED's but I like everything else about the S4. Active camera goes down to 8 MP but gains water/dust resistance plus 3 physical navigation buttons. Backplate is still plastic but appears to be a different texture to the S4.
I kinda want the active. I can live with the camera but I'm a bit bummed about the screen.
Are there any details about how they ate covering the ports?
But i am quite sure Samsung instead would be more than happy to sell a lcd screen in a high price phone for everyone. Especially Dari
It's obvious that they listen to their customers based on this action. Therefore, it wouldn't surprise me that they know that their screens suck monkey balls when compared to the competition...
Idiotic - the active is a niche phone and it's more likely there was a technical reason behind the switch. Logic dictates they and their customers are satisfied with their screens based on them using them in the S4, mini, and coming Note 3.
You don't even know what you're talking about and you say my statement is idiotic? Virtually every phone sold in Japan is water-proof and dust-resistant. Since SONY has started giving the rest of the world what the Japanese have been accustomed to for almost two decades now Samsung decides to respond. So, no, they did not change the screen because of some technical reasons since other firms in (or for) Japan make waterproof smartphones with OLED screens. Two I can think of would be HTC and Panasonic...

It looks like Samsung has addressed some of the concerns in the OP. Admirable considering how bad their bloated launcher is. The response time is also excellent. Good job, Samsung. Now fix your OLED screens to make them as good as AUO's...

You're so cute when you ask the same question for a thousandth time. If I was a Samsung hater I would not be praising them. As I've said many times before I think their OLED screens are garbage and I stand by that statement. And it's mainly because of the tints. I don't need you or someone else to tell me what's good for me. Keep your 10 Paypal dollars. Again, here is what I wrote in case you missed it the first time...

The gs4 is hands down almost twice as sharp as that screen and puts it to shame.you can't even fairly compare them lol
You've completely missed his point.
It's a Samsung OLED panel for the love of god, he's showing that it's completely possible for Samsung to properly calibrate their panels, they just can't spend the ~1 USD to do things right because they don't give a damn.
Quick question...if I only download 2 or 3 apps but primarily use my phone as a music player, then getting a 64GB card will suit me fine, yes? I'm not concerned with the argument over not enough space for apps as I'm not really an app downloader.
