well honestly neither are you two.
124k X 150%=186k
124k X 300%=372k

1.00 x 124k = 124k: 0% more than 124k
1.50 x 124k = 186k: 50% more than 124k
2.00 x 124k = 248k: 100% more than 124k
2.50 x 124k = 310k: 150% more than 124k
3.00 x 124k = 372k: 200% more than 124k
3.50 x 124k = 434k: 250% more than 124k
4.00 x 124k = 496k: 300% more than 124k

JujuFish is correct. 305k is not even 150% more than 124k. It is certainly not "300% more."

To be fair you'd typically use xxx% of {something} rather than xxx% more than {something} when comparing figures like that.

And either way it supports his point that the S6 is selling well.

Although as Artdeco said, and I'll paraphrase if I may, who really gives a fuck.

Yeah. This was based on Achtung's original phrasing.

Galaxy S6 is selling 300% more than the Galaxy S5!
...
Galaxy S6 = 305,000/day
Galaxy S5 = 124,000/day
Galaxy S4 = 241,000/day
...

Achtung!

Alright, the Galaxy S6 is selling 150% more than the Galaxy S5. Happy? What I meant to say was that the Galaxy S6 was selling approximately 3X more than the Galaxy S5, which is correct. Except that 3X more got lost in translation and I erroneously said that the Galaxy S6 was selling 300% more, which is not the same as 3X more.
No one got the math right here, so you have no right to say that I'm bad at math.

That sucks. Oh well. Now just hoping that the Note 5 takes all the positives of the S6 and combines them with the positive of the Note and previous Samsung devices.

As for devices, I've thought for a while now that Samsung would be better served by focusing on like 3 product lines instead of all the different phones they sell. Have a budget line, the S series line, and then the Note line. Where each line would have a base chassis where the whole line would share SoC, memory, modem, etc with the extra space in each going towards the display, battery, and any extra reinforcement of the frame. Especially now that they've set a precedent for the S line losing the battery and memory card slot, I wouldn't mind seeing something like 4/4.7/5.5 for the S, and then 4.7/5.7/6.7 (yes an even bigger one for the Note line I think makes sense and would make the stylus, but they'd need to focus on making the bezel as small as possible, and hopefully bundle a bluetooth or well done mic/headset so you can keep it in your pocket for calls).

If forced to get an Android device I'd go with the S6. G4 is very nice, especially the black leather model, but I hate having the speaker on the back of the phone.

I played with the G4 recently and was a bit disappointed with the build as they only had the plastic back which I thought was pretty cheesy. I would like to try one with the leather back to see if it really makes that much difference.

Display looked like a good step up from the G3 wrt brightness and contrast.

After owning it since april, the samsung galaxy s6 edge is the worst tech purchase I've made in years. I can jump upgrade in September, and I'll be damn sure to get an iPhone or an HTC.

1. Atrocious battery life. With me babying the phone I get maybe 6-7 hours out of it. I *CAN'T* travel with it, it'll be dead before I can get to an airport charger. I now rely on my iPad more than ever while traveling and just powerdown my phone hoping to keep a charge.
2. The edge constantly gets triggered by my palm on the hand holding it, so the touch screen has false hits all the time
3. I don't know why, but this is the first capacitive phone that I can butt dial in my pocket with a portfolio case on! I don't quite get that
4. Camera is sometimes stunning, sometimes a blurry mess. iPhone 6 was much more consistent
5. The screen is beautiful
6. General android annoyance, but all this hardware and no top tier games to play on it! It's super annoying that my wife often says "you gotta try this new mobile game out!" and, boom, it's not available on android (yet? ever?)
7. Inductive charging seemed super cool but is super slow
8. Listed as mirrorlink compatible for my car head unit, does not work. My wife's iPhone is carlink compatible, and I just plugged the thing in and it works - which made me super envious of how things just work on iOs
10. Touchwiz isn't bloated to me, but it sure is ugly. Skins only hide some of the flaws, Web OS on my palm pre years and years ago was more attractive, slick, and modern looking. Touchwiz really looks like a homebrew asian operating system, it's weird that these guys are considered masters at android, HTC's sense is much more attractive and modern (too bad the m9's so lame)
11. Reception was always bad in my apartment with my old iPhone, now it's non-existent. Wi-fi calling works but, unlike my iphone, this damn phone goes into sleep and shuts off wifi! Meaning I miss calls, constantly. Yes, I had to get a magicjack for home use because I've been missing so many calls.

I see why the phone's bombing hardcore, my wife called it an iphone clone with impressive specs (the screen is lovely, the camera has potential) that gets all of the basics wrong. I'm up for a jump upgrade in September and, apple, I'm sorry for being bored and trying new things - this experience has been awful and I'm never going back to samsung. I'm not giving up on android, I actually really like the moto g I gave my mom and she gets days of standby on it - I should have saved myself a few hundred bucks!

samsung pr - I see that you're all over threads here, PM me and pay my way to get an iphone back so that I don't have to make do with this horrible phone any longer, and I'll delete this

I've had a GS6 for a day, and it's likely going back.

I'll start with the positives. Camera is the best of any phone I've used. End of story. It's an incredible shooter and the double tap of home button to launch is the fastest access I've seen in a mobile device.

Screen is nice.

Build quality is very good. It's a sharp looking, solid and well put together product. Even if it is a total rip off the iP6. It's not like they even tried to hide it.

That said. Uhg.

I didn't realize how much I hated Samsung. The Note 2 was my first Android device. Then I moved on to a MotoX, then a Droid Turbo and I've got a G2 as my work phone. After having on screen buttons with the "back" button being on the left side of the screen I just can't deal with having it on the right hand corner. Having to physically push the home button is annoying. And it's just a pain after using the other devices.

I hate that when it connects to my car it defaults to the samsung music player with some cheesy hymnal song that I can't seem to find any way to change. And then it shows up as the default song on the display and no other music program will show title and artist.

Samsung account? WTF. No. I already have a Gmail account I need to have to sign in. Don't need one for Samsung too.

I hate the size. It's the same problem I have with the iPhone 6. It's too tall. Coming from a Droid Turbo and a G2 I prefer wider phones. They are oddly, easier to hold and just better for viewing sites. Plus the keyboards just have a bit wider breathing room for me for texting. I didn't think I wanted something as big as the G4, but after messing around with that more, it's actually easier to hold and operate. Plus I totally miss the knock on/off of the LG's.

The finger print scanner is terrible. I have maybe a 20% success rate on that and that's with three different fingers being ID'd.

But most annoying is the battery life. I know I'm not getting Droid Turbo life. But I wasn't expecting this. I lost 20% in 60 minutes with about 20 minutes worth of that being screen time. Sure it charges fast, but holy battery life anxiety. No way I would ever feel comfortable doing a 12 hour day off the charger with this thing. Bleh.

It looks nice, it takes nice pictures, but other than that it's a pain to hold and use, and the battery life sucks.

Yeah, I saw the battery life numbers and thought WTF?

And the Samsung account holy crap, what are they thinking? It makes me crazy on my Note 4.
