I just got a new 46" Samsung LN46D630 LCD TV. The picture looks great but while watching a movie with black bars I definitely notice backlight bleeding from the corners, predominantly the bottom-left corner. I understand that this can be the nature of LCD technology but in reality how common is this? I read that it was more common with LED backlighting and that was one reason I opted for CCFL. Would Samsung have me jumping through hoops to get a replacement or repair? And even then, what are the chances the next one I get would have the same problem?
