Hi, i have Samsung S23a700d monitor that i purchased last year on April 2012. First thing i noticed when i received the monitor was there's one dead pixel on bottom left corner. It's hardly noticeable and i was too lazy to return it since it's not a deal breaker.
Couple weeks after, i started to notice an issue which the monitor turns black for 1-2 seconds at random interval(can happen after an hour then happen again in few hours). I thought it was video card issue, so i was hoping that Nvidia might fix it in future driver. That time i was using EVGA GTX 670 FTW. Now i'm using EVGA GTX 780 ACX with latest driver and the problem still persists.
I also play PS3 using this monitor. Then i noticed that the black screen issue still happening even with my PS3 connected via HDMI port at the back. So i figured that it wasn't nvidia driver issue.
Any idea what's wrong with the monitor? This is my first Samsung product and it's still under warranty. Does samsung have good customer service for failing product?
Btw, the blue light that indicates the power of my monitor is on when it's happening.
