I still use the 16 GB sd the original Droid came with and that's 6 years old.

Fair enough - I didn't read the 6S review super closely so yes, I did take away that the 6S storage solution seemed to be a step above the S6 UFS 2.0 storage.

Same here - I'd prefer a more compact phone or a bigger battery vs. the increase in size for IP certification.

The SSD type storage Apple uses in the 6s is substantially superior to the UFS storage in the S6. If Hog Boy had bothered to read the graph he posted (foolishly believing it somehow represented equanimity between the two systems) he would have noticed that sequential write is faster by a factor of 5 or 500%, while the advantage held by UFS in random write is barely 30%. In addition, random read and write performance is far less important in iOS than sequential performance, which is why it performs the way it does.

Hog Boy is confused and believes he knows something about technology. Thankfully I am here to inform him of his mistakes.

Why would you say that sequential is more important than random in a phone? Everything I've read says the opposite.
That said both of them are more than fast enough.

Oh and 3 posts in and insulting people already. Way to go.

Also obligatory : WWYBYWB?

Yeah that's wrong AFAIK outside of transfer or working on large files. And new accounts just to post flamebait is what makes AT so wonderful

A ton of leaks and no one wants to talk about it?

Here is the S7:

According to our source, the Samsung Galaxy S7 is to come with Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box. Other specs include an IP68 (or IP67) rating, a 12 MP camera, a 2800 mAh battery, and microSD support.

Nerds everywhere rejoice, we got the SD Card slot back.

I have to admit, that plus a bigger battery and a more reasonable non-edge size might make this my next phone.

Great moves by Samsung. With the return of water proof, SD card, and a better battery, this will be the perfect phone if we can get one in ~5" size.

I'm gonna hold out for the Note 6. If they bring back the SD slot on that I may go back to sammy. I love my LGV10 and all, but I do miss SAMOLED and the pen from the Note series.

Yeah, the only thing missing from this is swappable battery. But if I can get ~7 hours SOT I guess I'll survive.

I'll make sure to report here on battery as soon as I get the S7 edge (which is probably happening Tuesday or Wednesday next week - I get it before before retail availability). I'm a heavy user, so it'll be interesting to see how much of an improvement over the S6 edge I'll notice.

Could this phone(s) be leaked any less? Looks really good though. Samsung is coming back strong for the S7. Can't wait to see the Note 6.

So is the camera hump from the S6 gone? Looks like a smooth back.

Water protection.
Creative way of doing SD card on the SIM card tray.
Drop of the camera hump.
Good sized battery.

The Note 5 takes 120 minutes to fast wireless charge - I honestly doubt Samsung managed to halve that time. However, getting it to say 90 minutes would still be pretty amazing.

The S7 is shaping up to be an interesting contrast to the G5 - less the utility knife Samsung used to be known for, but a more polished, all-in device even moreso in the vein of the iPhone.
