If you click Upgrade existing Line, you'll be given the option to accept a device payment plan or pay retail.

Will this void my unlimited data though? I am grandfathered in and do not wish to lose it. A reason I don't want to go to a store, they're always hounding me to upgrade and lose it. Or I've had one asking to buy it from me. I just want a damn phone.

Damn damn damn damn. OK, I am a hypocrite. After samsung launched the S6 and S6 edge and Note 5 I swore all over the forum that I am done with them and got an LGV10 instead. Well, I just ordered a silver titanium S7 edge from tmobile. It looks like a good phone and the ip68 is what sold me. Sigh, I am weak. The Ritalin doesn't work any more apparently. I really do miss SAMOLED. Guess i'll put my LGV10 up for sale soon.

Haha! I feel the same way. The IMO backward steps of the Note 5 in particular put me off... but the S7 edge is hard to resist. I got used to the S6 edge plus.

If LG had hired a decent design team they might have won me over.

I love the camera on the V10 but the screen is really weak IMO. its so bland. Colors don't pop out at all and the auto brightness is just as horrible as it is on the iphones. I will switch the V10 as my work phone or sell it outright.

I remember being on the same page as you about the LG V10.

Yet again I'm with you. I want the S7 badly. Pass the Ritalin.

Do you notice slowness with your V10 at all? Sometimes I feel like I have to swipe multiple times for it to register. And it can get ungodly slow when I'm browsing through my music library. Granted, it's like 100GB on a SD card, but man...it lags when I go from artist to artist.

Perhaps I need a different music player...

But man...I want that UFS storage/faster SoC/eye candy AMOLED...

No, I havent noticed that on mine. What I have noticed is that I rarely got LTE on it and it mostly stayed on H or H+. The real problem I have is that when it make the LTE to H transition or vice versa, the internet connection will just come to a halt for 5-10 seconds, even when on wifi. Granted I am using a Verizon V10 with my tmo sim, so that may be it. Another reason I ordered the S7 direct from tmobile.

I waved off Samsung phones since the Galaxy Nexus, and continued to dislike them as my wife always had a Note and I never liked TW.

Well Im going to retire my G4 as I pre ordered the Black S7E from T-Mobile

That's a guy smashing his lovely S7 edge to smithereens.

I haven't got mine yet and he's totally destroyed his.

I feel dirty for giving him an extra view

I've never heard you say anything other than how much you've liked the v10. Must be expensive to change your mind so fast =P

Tel me about it. I change phones every 6 months or so. Most of them through me being the IT manager and controlling the wireless account. But the S7 I purchased direct from tmo as I use tmo and the job uses verizon. Sick of using vzw phones with tmo apns. I lose out on hotspot options.

But, yeah, I do love the v10 but I really miss AMOLED. Thats the primary reason I switched back. Now that sammy put the msd option back.

I saw them today first time. The Edge version is easier to hold than last year's but more prone to accidental touch inputs. The S7 is ergonomically superior to the S6, but I personally prefer the sharp, flat design of the original S6. Even the camera hump looks more refined on the S6. (I am not a fan of excessive curves)

Everything seems to have improved, however. The display looks noticeably more uniform than my S6's and Edge+'s. Battery life looked strong during the few minutes I played with it. Performance did not wow me like the S6 did when I first experienced it. Maybe Samsung went with more substance (i.e. sustained performance, battery life) than benchmark scores?

It is a similar feel I had with the iPhone 6S, without the wow factor of the A9 SOC. The phone should be a solid upgrade for those who are on the S4 or the S5.

P.S. I also prefer the colors of the S6 to the S7's. I saw the silver version of the S7 Edge and it looked like a kitchen appliance!

I saw the S7 edge at best buy today. Its a beautiful phone indeed.
I'm still just amazed at how people that can just plunk down $800 for an Android phone these days. My cheap ass just can't bring myself to pay that much on a phone any more.
Speaking of cheap-ass. I just bought a Note 4 on Ebay for $280. I would prefer a Note 5 but not for $600+.

Would a S7 Edge be a big upgrade for me coming from an LG G2?

Pretty big. Multiple processor generations, a larger and higher-res display, a significantly better camera, a fingerprint reader... if you feel you're due for an upgrade, it's likely worthwhile. I suspect the only concerns are battery life (the jury's still out on the S7 Edge, though early signs are positive) and the non-removable power pack.

Yes. A camera that is leaps and bound better.
A MUCH improved screen.
Thumbprint scanner.
Wireless charging.
SD Card (if you need it).
Blazing fast performance under the hood.

It's a good upgrade performance/hardware wise. Size wise it's going to be a lot bigger and your battery life will likely take a hit. G2 battery life was bonkers good.

The width is actually pretty similar and the Edge is thinner... the most noticeable size thing is that it's taller. And given the bigger battery and higher-efficiency AMOLED, I expect similar if not better battery life.

It's not really that much bigger though The height isn't really as big of a deal since it is not a chunky phone, unless he wears tight pants.
