Also I see people on SlickDeals putting their sim into the phone for a day. Did you guys do that too?

I don't think it matters if you do or don't. I'm keeping both phones though. Man, reminds me of that time on ATT except w/o the sleaziness. On ATT I did it once just to check out another phone and they flagged the new phone as being a smart phone and auto changed our plan. I tried to tell them I was just testing it out and to not change my grandfathered plan to no avail. Freaking ATT. Never going back to those fools.

The BOGO states that both phones must be under the EIP to get the rebate, but do what you want... shrugs.

I was also told by a T-Mobile rep do NOT pay it off before you get the rebate or you won't get it.

Tmo reps don't know their head from their ass. There was no stipulation that you couldn't pay it off just that it had to be on EIP when purchased.

While I agree, I wouldn't risk it. He said they check the EIP when they go to process the rebate. I normally agree, but is it worth the risk? No benefit really to risking it.

Tmobile pushed an update today. Don't know what it does but hopefully it resolves the SD card unmount issue.

If that screen was pentile you wouldn't be happy.

Maybe, the z3c has an LCD and not a Super AMOLED.

Wikipedia agrees with you and states "However, for the same resolution and size the PenTile screen can appear grainy, pixelated, speckled, with blurred text on some saturated colors and backgrounds when compared to RGB stripe color" so maybe it does need a 1080p screen to be decent.

Other than that though, I would probably buy a Samsung flagship level 4.6" phone, although to tell the truth I would prefer something from a different company as I prefer something which is closer to stock (i.e. a z6 compact ).

Does it give you an actual status of the rebate? It just tells me to redo the eligibility thing i've done before.

When did you apply for yours? I applied for mine right after receiving the phones and it took 2 days maybe for it to show up?

It seems like the exynos version is vastly superior in terms of battery life at least from Ars testing

It may be that Samsung now has its chip better optimized for (gasp) TouchWiz after having had to make do with the Exynos 7420 thanks to the disastrous S810.

I am still not liking the design of the S7 in comparison to the S6 from purely aesthetic point of view. To me the S6 looks sharper and sexier even though it is not as ergonomic in hand as the S7.

Got my wife the S7 Edge and I will say that I'm pretty impressed. Compared to my Note5, there is little perceivable difference in size unless you sit them directly next to each other. The battery does make a slight difference when I compare the phones with similar usage.

Got my S7 Edge in Silver Titanium. Put on a cheap-o Ringke clear case until my Obliq slim case gets in.

I have to say I am impressed by the S7 Edge. Not so much about the edge portion of the screen, actually that kind of irks me because it sometimes distorts what I'm looking at, especially if there is some important info along the edge of the screen. But the responsiveness, the camera, the fingerprint sensor, and Samsung Pay are worth it. Especially if you got on the BOGO offers - moreso if you get the Gear VR and potentially Netflix (though they have only 25,000 Netflix codes...). I'm still waiting on my Netflix codes, I doubt I'll get one since they only have 25,000.

Per T-Mobiles site if you ordered before March 14th you will get a Netflix code.

Question about the S7 Edge, when I turned it on for the initial setup, I went to turn WiFi on and it showed what looked like was the MAC address, is it the same as going into the phone and doing Settings, About Device, Status to find the MAC?

Yes. But just use the settings->about device method to get your IMEI and WiFi MAC. I had some issues using Chrome last night, but when I did it at my work desktop it went through fine.
