Recently Purchased this monitor. On the shelf it is $429.99 but at checkout it rang up at 379.99. This is the First 19" Flat Monitor I have seen that does NOT use apature grill picture tube (IE: Sony Lines across the screen) Best picture quality I have ever seen! Grab em up....

I don't know what you are talking about, I have one in front of me right now and it does indeed have the 2 lines. Also I only pay 260 for it a while back.

If you have lines on your Samsung 955df, you better get it checked. I have had mine for quite awhile, and no "trinitron" lines.....

what is a shadow mask???is shadow mask a good thing or bad thing for monitor??

there're two types of CRT tubes: aperture grill, and shadow mask. The former is for all those trinitron/diamontrons, the latter is for the rest of those. aperture grill is supposed to be brighter, while shadow masks produces crispier text. however, until recently, only the "trons" were flat, but they have two very thin but still visible horizonal lines across the screen which may or may not annoy you. so shadow mask is not necessarily "good" or "bad". it's just that the only 19" in perfect flat monitor using it that can do 1600x1200 at @85 seems to be Samsung 900IFT (IFT stands for infinite flat tube or sth), and I haven't seen it with my eyes.

Hey there I've been looking around the web for the price of the 955DF and I think http://www.emscomputing.com has it for the cheapest at $275 US. But the only problem is that I live in Malaysia. Anyone knows where I can get it at that price in malaysia or ship to malaysia ?
