I stopped buying Sony and Netgear in the early 2000s simply because they wouldn't honor their warranty.

Bigger companies feel they can get away with selling you junk and not honoring the guarantee or warranty they claim at the time of the sale. I feel like your issue is more related to offshoring of the warranty/support team to incompetent people/departments that simply don't do their job. That's almost worse than having the warranty team tell me they can't help me over the phone on a USB enclosure and wifi router that was stopped working when it heated up.

Samsung support is hit and miss I guess.

I bought a Samsung Windows tablet the first day it came out, but it had issues with the fitment of the cover and there were no more in stock anywhere.

Decided to send it to them to "fix" after they argued that I damaged the case, even though there was ZERO damage to anywhere else.

Fine, sent it, at their discretion and they sent it back with the entire case disengaged. I ended up taking it off and fixing it myself. If I would have known how easy it was to do that, I would have done it the first day.

Not all that bad though - Had a TV die 3x from them also, but in their defense, they replaced the TV with a newer model after 2 years of use (and bought with only 1 year warranty.)
