People who bent the iphone 6 are likely lying about it being in their front pocket and just walking around with tight jeans. If the phone was too large for their pocket and they sat down, I imagine that would be quite uncomfortable with it pressing into their hip bone. It probably made its way to the back pocket before long. Good luck keeping something rigid in your back pocket, it's going to bend/break.

I carry a Lumia 1520 in my front pocket and I wear tight jeans. At first, I was cautious that I might damage the phone due to how much stress is put on it when I sit. After a while, I determined it was not going to break.

I would probably destroy an iPhone 6+.

You are putting even stress along the length of your thigh. Unless you have place something between your thigh and the phone to create some sort of stress point in the middle it wouldn't bend.

An ass is roundish, and the phone would not be getting an even distribution of stress. Hence why I mention it is probably back pocket wear.

The other idea is if the pocket is very high up and not deep so that the phone is braced between thigh and hip without even pressure along the body of the phone.

They should make an E-ink version that's super thin. I imagine that's right around the corner.

9/10ths of Samsung's advertising budget is "Look at how we're better than Apple!"

I know right? Shameful.

Reminds me of another company whose ads (all 100% of them) were "Look at how we're better than Microsoft!"

No one ever said the phone wasn't bendable. The assumption has always been that *any* phone can bend or break.

It actually amazes me to see how much effort it takes for people to bend these. I would expect it to bend noticeably with about half that amount of effort / force. I'm actually impressed.

Android flagships bend all the time. The difference is 1) there aren't nearly as many units sold for any particular Android flagship model and 2) the media and the general public just don't care nearly as much about most Android flagships.

iPhone 6 Plus is remarkably strong. It's not going to bend without a lot of force.

It bends in some people's front pockets...under a ridiculous amount of force.

As I've said before, my friend bought the Samsung Galaxy S4 at launch and drove home with it in his front pocket. It bent and the screen wouldn't even turn on.
