Pay homage to Norton, First Emperor of America while you're there.
Damn, ...looks like Ai Weiwei is "sold out" at Alcatraz, which lasts through April 26. Hope there is some other way to get into that, as I have sucked at making that happen:

anyway, if you're able to, you will want to do that while visiting.
Oh, and I think MOMA is still closed for another year or so because of renovation?

See the golden gate bridge from the VA hospital and then take the trails down to the beach and walk around there.
Camera Obscura at the cliff house. Do it on a Sunday morning get bikes in the upper haight ride the park, etc.
Fuck! Nooooo! Any recommendations for other art galleries?
I haven't been there is years and I think most people think of it as a kids thing but I have always thought the Exploratorium was worth a visit.
Of course, there is always the Mitchell Brothers O'farrell Theatre.

If you're going to San Francisco, be sure to wear some flowers in your hair...

I'm always wearing flowers in my hair; do I need more for SF?
At Muir Woods you can make and wear your own laurel to frolic about with.
I also saw a group of people holding deer antlers that did a very awkward dance in a circle, backed away, paired off, and then skipped towards each other and locked antlers.

Haha, that is kind of crazy.
Was just Googling around and it looks like you just rent bikes near GG Park, then do like a 1.5 hour ride over to Sausalito? Is Muir Woods near there? Do you need to prepare in any other way? I assume it's not a super intense ride.

The woods are down in a huge valley. It's probably a 1-2 mile very winding descent depending on the route taken. There's zero shoulder and endless amounts of traffic (including huge tour buses) going in and out of there. I choose life
Maybe the bike routes are different than the typical car routes. Going down wouldn't be bad. If you had to bike back out that would be brutal.

It's back and forth. There are actually alot of dedicated bike routes, but there are tons of areas where you are just on a shoulder along the highway.
It's pretty cool and probably pretty dangerous.
When we were there it was the first major rainfall they had had in like 18 months and one of the main highways had washed out and was closed down. So maybe the route we went wasn't the typical one. Not sure. I was just sightseeing out the window and not paying much attention to roads.
Looks cool. Thanks.
