Many Toshiba e740 users have reported that SanDisk SD cards suddenly lose all data. It happens to some and not to others, but it seems like it happens to a great number of people.

SD cards from different manufacturers have been reported to be unwritable at times. A few agree that it's because of a defect in the slot that clicks the lock tab in place when you insert the card and unlocks it when you remove the card. This can be fixed by putting a piece of tape on the locking tab. Some people that have this problem say a soft reset will fix it sometimes.

I don't have any SD cards yet.
