Since SSD prices have been dropping steadily, at least on sale, I don't know how "hot" this is, but the lack of a rebate caught my eye: http://www.buy.com/prod/sandisk-extr...227072806.html

I saw this one but still at SATA II and at that price there are way other better options. Of course, the lack of Rebates makes it attractive.

You sure about the SATA II? Everywhere I look seems to say SATA III, including other websites. I'm still going to wait until I can find a similar deal on Tiger or Amazon (CA tax basically kills all these deals until they get even cheaper), but I've so far been hearing good things about this SSD.

Correct, the Sandisk Ultra SSD is SataII, this Extreme is SataIII and much faster.

The Extreme here uses the latest Sandforce controller.
