I hope it's been fixed, but ever since that fiasco last year with sneaking in that batch of lower quality controllers into their drives without telling anyone, I have sworn off all sandisk products.
And low & behold, right after the above situation became public, I had a sandisk flash drive go bad, so I'm not too keen on their stuff now
However, I bought an ADATA Premier mid-2015 and it has been running like a champ since day one, and was a bit less $$ than comparable drives at the time......
And my 4 year-old OCZ Vertex 3 is STILL running well too
I believe you are thinking of kingston. I am unable to find any mention of sandisk getting caught doing the controller switcharoo.
Samsung is all I buy too. Nothing wrong with them.
Yup, Kingston's on my short S-List after that move. It wouldn't have been so bad if they hadn't tried to justify it either. At least Crucial labelled their abortion of a SSD to BX200 so that I can avoid it. BX100 is still one of my favs :thumbsup:I believe you are thinking of kingston.
