Sandra Wants MDAC

When I start the sisoft sandra program it says it cannot initialize and to install the latest MDAC. The microsoft webpage about the MDAC is full of warnings about "breaking" things and " oh so sad , too bad". Should I install that MDAC thingy. mount.

You should be fine to install it...I believe it stands for Microsoft Data Access Components - I've never had any problems with it.

Would you know how to rollback MDAC to an earlier version???

Have you tried MS's site and searched?

I had the same problem with Sandra 2003. The program still works fine without it, it just won't display those stupid little "tips" at the bottom of every results page that complains if, say, your video card runs at 2x instead of 4x. The tests and all still work fine.
