Found this on postdeals.net in a compusa weekly flyer. Looks like there is a 30$ instant cash back from 79.99. So final price is 49.99 plus shipping. Cruzin! Enjoy!

It works even with SMP systems. The Hercules Game Theater XP works also but it costs more. Creative Platium cost more and has issues with SMP systems. So for best value the Turtle Beach SantaCruz card is one of the better ones.

SONOFA!#$*%!&#_*&$*#!&%_#&%&!@$&@!*$%!@%!@$#@#$:|:|:|

I just ordered an OEM Santa Cruz from NewEgg on Thursday for $63 shipped. This would have saved me $10 including tax AND I would have gotten a retail card.

DAMNIT DAMNIT DAMNIT!!! :|

I HATE YOU FOR POSTING THIS!!!!!!!!!!!

Do you know when this deals end? There's no CompUSA where I live but I'll be in California for Vacaction next week so I might as well pick one up while I'm there.

An awesome price for (IMHO) still the finest consumer-level sound card on the market. Snap 'em up boys!

I've got one of these cards and have to say it's a great card.
Never had any issues with it.

What the heck? I can't add it to the cart.
Unable to compute charges at this time. Please check back soon, and we apologize for any inconvenience.
If anyone can get it to work, can you please check how much it'll cost to ship to PA, 15217?

Is this B&M as well? If so im gonna return mine to Circuit City and buy it at compusa.

This is a FANTASTIC card. I've built several systems with them, and love them.

HOWEVER: Anyone who tells you this card delivers more processing power than an Audigy is smoking something. I hate creative as much as the next guy, but the fact is every review on the Net has found tha tthe Audigy can deliver at least three times the sound processing power of the TB. Factor in the other features, and I'm afraid that the Santa Cruz -- no longer with a clear cost advantage -- has become obsolete.

I tried this, an Audigy, and a Aureal 2. With my experience Santa Cruz is best, then Aureal 2, and then Audigy. The Audigy was horribly scratchy and bass flooded out the highs. I'll take a Turtle Beach anyday

Audigy's XP drivers work flawlessly for me.

I know people tend to be brand loyal. And I'm assuming the people talking about the "comparisons" are basing their opinions in blind faith for a particular brand (or blind scorn for another). As I said before, Creative has long been, in my opinion, one of the least reliable hardware developers. Their products have had spotty performance, and the driver support has been awful.

But I upgraded two computers from the Santa Cruz to the Audigy, and noticed a marked improvement in both. With the Audigy, they finally got it right. For a long time, the santa cruz was half the cost of the audigy. Now, they're about the same -- I bought three audigys from TCWO when they had their $55 anandtech special. My current two cards are being used with the Logitech Z-560s, and the sound is fantastic. I wouldn't say it's overall "dramatically" better than the Turtle Beach, since the TB sounded great too. But the performance in games is noticably better. You can max out all audio effects, and there IS a dramatic difference in the way they sound.

Play Wolfenstein on a Turtle Beach, adn then play it on an Audigy. You'll absolutely hear the difference.

I don't ever recall seeing anyone say that. What I do know is that the SC is no slower in any game than any other card, Audigy included. The Audigy's power mainly is used for EAX3, but I've been thoroughly unimpressed with EAX 3 so far.

.paldo :

EDIT: Til the 20th.

It's in their newspaper flyer, so B&M has it. If they are out, take the flyer to OD. Back a couple of months they had it online (haven't checked lately) so the local may have it and you can PM, AND, if you add something else maybe sneak a coupon by them as well. When I bought my SC it was the last day of CrapUSA deal then ($20 off) and OD phone in (web) said they would let me both PM and use coupon, but had to approve PM and those guys weren't their till Monday (it was Saturday) when the sale would be over. So I just got it from CrapUSA.

The best thing is no stinking rebate here.

Also one of the SC perks was it's processor use compared to SBLive. Now how is the Audigy in that regards? Remeber some people are still stuck with sub-gig systems. I got 4 rigs and only one is over a gig (XP 1800+). Something to consider is what rig you are putting it in.

Drivers are great for the SC. Even Linux support.

I do like the "extra" base of creative products though. Took some getting used to the more "natural" sound of the SC.

BB B&Ms are selling this and have lots in stock, at least in the Twin Cities area. I just picked up two of them this afternoon.

Would i be able to price match this to circuit city? I just bought it from there 3 days ago....

I think I'm going to pass on this, since my Turtle Beach Montego 2 Quadzilla (Aureal Vortex 2 chip) still sound good.
