For whatever reason, I hadn't processed the fact that they're the same exact price. Perhaps I'm just innately biased against Best Buy because I often don't like their pricing, but definitely worth a look into.

Yes, the "dynamic 10000+" contrast ratio that brands like Samsung and Sharp push are absolutely fudged.

2500+ fixed contrast ratio is pretty ok.

I was able to get the price protection on the TV. Whether or not Ill keep it is still up for grabs. Like it has been said its great with a good source but watching television on it is subpar.

Wow, I got my Westinghouse 42" 1080p two years ago for almost three times the amount ($1600+tax). Well, at least I've gotten two years of use out of it and continue to use it.
