Actually, it has been out for awhile and only takes up PCI1. The same Zalman heatsink is also available seperately in gold color (sans RAM heatsinks). I have one on my Radeon 9500 and recommend it. I think the silver looks better though.

Yep, completely silent until it rips the AGP slot from the mobo and takes out your other PCI cards on its way down with a big "THUD".

Heh heh. I actually bought a gimicky Cardkeeper retaining bracket but the case design interferes with installing it and I have not been arsed to modify it. In the meantime I meant to rig some safety wire too but haven't been arsed with that either. I really don't think it is a problem so long as the slot retaining screw is secure although I would recommended replacing it with a bolt just in case (which should be drilled and safety wired... just kidding).

The Zalman ZM80A-HP is made of aluminum and weighs 385g, not that bad. The DustBuster probably weighs close to that...

The Sapphire card is also quite hefty, weighing in at a little over 500 grams, compared to 300 grams for a standard Radeon 9700 Pro.

So it's not that big of a deal. ~50% heavier than a "normal" video card... whoopdy-doo.
All I know is that's for me! Fast and silent! I hate, hate, HATE PC noise! If only hard drives were as quiet!

It has a spindle motor so it isn't silent. The quietest storage would either be NAS or SSD.

Yeah, I run the vaccuum and microwave so I can tell my friends I have a silent PC.
Just because you're used to big fan noise doesn't mean it's not there.

the only fans I have running in my case besides the aiw radeon 9700 fan are my cpu fan (stock intel) and the fan in my power supply, and thats a zalman.

the intel makes the most noise...when I put a fan-mate on it and turn it way down, I can hear that the others are silent.
