Sapphire r9 290 tri-X in Sharkoon mid case

Hi, as the tittle says I am wondering if I can fit this really long GPU a into the Sharkoon Rex 8 value. The specifications are against me as only a 29 cm GPU a should fit whereas the the Sapphire is 30.5 cm.

Do you I could remove the HDD bay to get more room?

No experience with the Sharkoon case but it does not look like the HDD cages are removable.

I don't think the HDD cages are intentionally removable, from the looks of it, it looks permanent. If it is removable, you'll lose all of your HDD/SSD/Optical Drive cages. Terrible design.

That case's HDD cages can be removed, as stated by the manufacturer:

"eight hard drive bays are divided, with two firmly installed and a separate modular hard drive cage. By removing the middle three-cage, enough room is created for up to 40 cm long graphic cards."

Thanks. Finding a case is really tough since most names are slightly different according to the country. I hope this one will be good for the price.

Have you considered the cheaper Corsair 200R case? It's what I use and it can fit GPUs easily longer than 320mm. It can also be found for as cheap as $50 where I live, and the ability to fit up to 8x 120mm fans (4 of those can be 140mm as well).

Actually I am in luck since the carbide 300 r is on sale for only 8$ more. The store does not have the 200r though. Thanks for the tip!
