I just got in on this. Should have my card by Tuesday I hope. Crossing my fingers and hoping for no artifacts. The $24 re-stocking fee doesn't seem so bad compared to the potential gains. I will let all of you know my results as soon as i get them.

Actually i play MOHAA last night with everything max 1024x768 except effects were on high and models on high and the game runs likea charm. I added an extra 128mb ram and boy what a difference it makes

thats a lot. Its not that bad. LOL. Maybe if you put you monitor on its back and got some chess peices you could havea nice little game going there. So you get a checker board and a graphix card in one. How awsome

That is a pretty extreme example. Plenty of people don't even see checkerboards in 3dMark. Only during OpenGL games. And a lot of the time it is very faint and found on bright objects (i.e., light sources).

Dude, it's all about the "mod-ability" of the card that makes it appealing. It you can shell out $160 and *hopefully* get the near-equivalent of a 9700pro/9800pro, you're not doing to bad.

It is a gamble though....

The point of this card/thread is that the $160 9500 has the potential of performing like a 9700 ( $300 card!), this may not be hot for what is advertised, but people are willing to take a gamble that its hackable, and if you're lucky enough to get a hackable one, then that is DEFINATELY hot!! if I don't get a hackable one, Oh well, I'll either sell it or take the %15+shipping loss...
