www.buyxg.com has the L shaped red boards in for 128 shipped. At least that's what they said in the email when I asked. Here's the link to the board. http://www.buyxtremegear.com/9500128mboem.html

And here's the email they replied back to me when i asked.

"To Michael,

The videocard that you are interested is not the same as the picture show. But since the videocard is the OEM version, it doesn't come in the box. And the card is in red color board and the chips is in the L shaped.

If that will be the card that you like, you can place the order in our website www.buyxg.com

Thanks

Eve"

Just FYI though, they have some "specials" on 1 cent rounded ide cables, 1 cent case screws, or 1 cent ps2 mice. If you buy the ati card by itself, shipping is free. If you add one cable, shipping was 7.50 for me. I tried buying 2 cables, 2 screws, 3 fans, and a mouse, and shipping was like 50 bucks. Just got the card instead <shrug> They get their money even though it's only 1 cent

I'm sending mine back, very upset...deeply upset, and I'd like to give a big FU to the liars who stated these were ever L shaped. People, learn your lesson from me if you haven't already, buy a 9600 pro, I just ran this through a shader intensive beta that shall remain nameless, and it ran like #@%#, the whole thing runs like a CHOPFEST whenever anything is largely shiny or shader enhanced. This SUCKS.

BUYER BEWARE, THIS IS A SCAM.

put your credit card company to work

tlam: 9000 is not hackable to 9800 fill rate. the couple extra bucks for the 9500 np is worth it if it's a hackable one.. think of it as not quite but damn close to a 9800 pro for only a buck forty.

Likely you need to read the other posts on here for 9500. People have been getting them all day long from Connect3d-us.com including mine from New Egg.

A) the hack will prolly not work
B) how can u push it to 9800 when the 9800 uses a different chip?

A. Its about a 50/50 chance and even if it doesnt work you STILL have a good card

B. It reaches that performance level, no one meant it magically becomes a 9800

LOL, this MAY have been 50/50 3 months ago. it's prolly 20% today AT BEST

Read the other posts. On here and FW. 60-70% success including the one I just got. All recent buys. Stop pulling info out of the air in your head.

I just ordered one too, I hope this is true. The pic they have doesn't even have a fan, is that possible for a 9500?

I got my Connect3d card today. I am posting this in both threads just to get the word out. The memory was straight. Not only that, but the box was all ratty and looked like crap. This thing is going straight back.

Anyone buy from BuyXtremeGear? When? Did you get the 'L' shaped or inline RAM? Hacking success?

Yes on all three accounts. I bought when i said i bought in the previous message. Got L shaped ram. Hacked without any problems that i've seen, although i've only had time for a bit of homeworld 2 and jedi academy lately. Hope it helps.

I bought one of these cards from ENET, +$14 guarenteed to be an L 2 weeks ago.
It soft-modded no problem, no artifacts.
With stock cooling, I got the core up to 374 and the mem to 326
check out my aquamark score
Aquamark score

Satisfied with my cards ability, I hardmodded it, removed the shim, lapped the stock heatsink, applied AS3, and added ramsinks.
Now it's clocked at 402/324
current score
A friend of mine just recieved his card last week and so far he's experiencing my same results...

Those are some sweet scores. When you ordered from EnetPC did you request the retail box or the OEM box? Which should I order? I'm assuming your PCB was red? Thanks!

Not everyone posts...so what if all the people posts have gotten luvky cards, there are plenty of people not sucessfully modding it.

Here's my reply from Enet upon ordering:

"We still will cancel your order because we are out of stock of L-Shape 9500 video card.

We haven?t charged you anything.

We are still looking for it. The result is still negative right now."

Enet

I guess I'll just bite the bullet and get one of those 9700/9800Pros that seem to be dropping lower every day.
