From Tom's Hardware, Sapphire unveils the Pulse RX 5600 XT

Highlights:

"As far as specifications go, the Pulse Radeon RX 5600 XT utilizes AMD's Navi 10 silicon, which has 2,304 Stream Processors (SPs). The graphics card rocks 6GB of 12 Gbps GDDR6 memory across a 192-bit memory interface. Sapphire's offering arrives with a heavy factory overclock. The reference Radeon RX 5600 XT features 1,375 MHz and 1,560 MHz game and boost clocks, respectively. The Pulse Radeon RX 5600 XT boasts a 1,560 MHz game clock and 1,620 MHz boost clock."

I am very interested in this card. Wish it was a Nitro+ version with the RGB flash and trash, but I like what Sapphire does with their cards.
Opinions?

Wish we had a price or release date to go with that.

Interesting that they have their game clock set at the boost clock for the reference specifications.

I still feel like 6 GB is a bit of a deal breaker, especially when there’s an 8 GB 5500XT. With the suggested prices this feels like a cheaper version of would should be an 8 GB card instead of a slightly more expensive version of what would be a 4 GB card.

But then again, NVidia has had a lot of success with cards like this. For all I know this could turn into one of AMDs most popular cards.

For the performance it offers, 6GB should be ok. This is not a 1440+ card. And with 192bit bus, its 3, 6, or 12GB of RAM unless they want to try and find a memory maker to make chips with in between capacities.

But the 5600XT should be a pretty popular card. Its in the price point of what most buyers are willing to spend.

There's no doubt that it will be capable. It's pretty much a 5700 with a smaller bus. The reference clocks are lower, but if the AIB partners all release cards like this then the only real difference is the memory bandwidth being much more limited.

The performance will be phenomenal right up until there's a bottleneck due to memory bandwidth. I suppose if you're going to be gaming at 1080p for the foreseeable future this might not be a bad investment, but I still think that the 6 GB is going to be a problem sooner than most people anticipate.

It had "secret" increase in performance. 1615 Mhz boost clocks, and 14 Gbps GDDR6 with 336 GB/s memory.

In essence, the clocks are the same as RX 5700 Reference design, and what it differs from is by lower memory bandwidth.

This GPU will be within 5-10% of RX 5700 reference design! I think this is the GPU I will pick, after all. It will be faster than RTX 2060, for less(hope so...).

This is a card I'm definitely interested in I feel it should be a good enough upgrade from my 570 and If I can get one for 260ish then its a done deal. I'm not to worried about the 6g it should be fine for the near future.

At the beginning I was deciding between PowerColor Red Dragon RX 5600 XT, and this very GPU.

Now, I look at Pulse specs, and there is pretty much no way that I would consider RedDragon if it does not have at least 14 Gbps GDDR6. It does not have to have the same clocks speeds. If RX 5600 XT RedDragon has 14 Gbps GDDR6 I still will consider it, even with standard clock speeds.

Right now, Im 99% going with Sapphire Pulse GPU.

Good, AMD has shown its willing to pull the same shenanigans as NV with the 5700 series price drop in response to the Supers and now with the performance boost for the 5600 series cards.

At the end of the day its good news for consumers and shows that AMD is getting serious about a competitive GPU line-up and is willing to be nimble and responsive to NV's moves.

Finally AMD can do some damage on the GPU front, supported by outstanding CPU profits.

Bet review sites are just thrilled about having to start over from scratch.

I'd be curious if some site has enough to do a before and after comparison. Extra work doesn't automatically make the previous effort completely worthless after all.

- I vaguely remember withholding release drivers/final bios on videocards was definitely a thing during secretive launches in the past to ensure numbers didn't leak before the NDA was up. This isn't too much different from that scenario, basically one extra GPU to test.
