I have no problem with a government system as long as it is not financed by the taxpayers, IE it is financed by those who pay into the government system only. What Obama wants is to take hard earned taxpayer money and give it to people too lazy to buy their own health insurance.

So what? AFAIK, there's nothing in the conservative POV which would lead someone to turn down something being given to them by a generous progressive government. Particularly when it's another government that you don't even pay taxes to. In fact, a conservative might even go out of their way to take advantage of progressive government freebies in order to tap out the system that much quicker, a kind of Cloward-Piven Strategy to bankrupt the big government beast.

Seriously man, you are young and in college. Close your eyes and picture yourself in the next 5 years getting, and beating cancer. It's fully covered, but afterwards your insurance company drops your coverage. Other insurance companies will either not cover you, or will charge you $2500 per month for minimal coverage, and any cancer is excluded from coverage. You fall and spiral fracture your ankle / lower leg, the cost of surgery is $50,000, cash up front. What tune would you be singing then?
