i play BF2.. and it had been loading slow, so i search google for possible fixes. this is where i read that after 6 errors XP lowers the HDD transfer rate to fix this.. so i go to device mngr and check, and sure enough... it's been lowered to PIO, which we all know is super slow compared to the 3GB/s my SATA (i believe it's an SATA II) HDD is capable of...
in the same article i read about PIO, there is a fix.. but i think the fix is for IDE HDDs..

i built this computer in Jan(my first) and have no idea about HDD stuff, really...
i'll be glad to take screenshots of any info needed
