This is what I would ask if I didn't know her from Mad Men and a few other things.
Live TV is NOT her thing.
I wonder how many takes she has to do on Mad Men to not look like a pure amateur like she does on SNL?

Well I hadn't heard of her before last week when they showed she would be hosting. So I guess the move is to reach a wider audience. Most people don't watch Mad Men.

yeah that skit by the DQ wasn't that good.

pretty funny with the BEP performance, camare kept zooming in then back out depending where fergie was to avoid the upskirt panty shot.

Monologue was particularly bad. Skits up to the news were OK. News was good, but god damn I hate the Jon Bovi skits, drop it already. jekyll and hyde skit was decent.
Though January Jones was not particularly good in the live skits, the pre-recorded 50's cocktail party skit went pretty well.
The digital short was one of the worst I've seen.

Anyone notice they did another Black Eyed Peas song as the exit rather than the typical cast gathering on the stage? Seemed kind of weird.

Fergie is sort of skanky hot, or nasty, idunno, she's just different, but I'd kind of like to hit it.

they've done that with about a third of the shows this year. normally for the bigger performers.

Darrell Hammond's Lou Dobbs is brilliant

Why is Hammond still coming back to do his one appearance a week ... he isn't even in the intros anymore. That was Hammond doing Ted Koppel doing Lou Dobbs.
Horrible show except for the 50s party skit. I keep watching hoping the show would get better but it doesn't.

if this was January Jone's first step out into her solo career, I'm guessing she'll be back for Madmen next season.

I'm not too impressed so far with the new girls.
I was hoping Chris Elliott's daughter would be funny, but she's just kind of there without making much of an impact.
And then there's the one who cursed on her first sketch.
