*mods this should get a sticky please! we cant find qualified applicants!*

I filed a complaint with the company stating that we are understaffed. Response was that no qualified applicants can be found that are willing to work the shift. Its called the "4th" shift and has the following hours (32 total / considered full time + benefits). They are also looking for other shifts, but this shift is most critical.

Friday - 4pm-12am
Saturday 12pm-12am
Sunday - 12pm-12am

Edge Managers - at least 2 needed in St. Louis

Edge Managers which are the second line behind TSR, which is Technical Service Representative... Basically, TSR's get all the crap, Edge managers get all teh crap that TSR's can't deal with, and any crap Edge managers cant deal with, goes to engineers... EM's watch an alert browser and make judgement on which alerts can be cleared and which ones need to be investigated. EM's make the initial investigation, diagnose, repair if possible, or push the case to an Engineer.

positions listed above are in St. Louis. EM's should have a relevant college degree and or relevant technical certification (mcsa, linux+, A+, mcse). Experience in the field is a must.

I've already recieved some resumes from my last post about work, but this is a new deal, so if anybody else is interested, please forward your resumes to jason.king @ savvis.net

you have to work on site. we work as a team, within a particular cubicle and there is shared monitoring stuff.....

Worst. Job. Ever.

Nothing wrong with it to me. I have worked worse.

I would work maybe two of those shifts, but not all three. You would get absolutely no weekend.

4 days off > loss of 2 day weekend.

the shift allows me to take mini vacations almost every week, and with paid vacation, jsut over one weeks of paid vacation allows me to have 4 days off + paid 3 days off + 4 days off + paid 3 days off + 4 days off, basically giving me 18 straight days off.

job pays $25k-$45k per year depending on qualifications and workload you can take on. we may have 5 em's on a shift, but some EM's handle morework and get paid more.

Sounds like Level 2 technical support... can someone work from home and out of state? it would be neat to have two full time jobs, the hours conflict a little on fridays, cuz i work till 5pm, but if its just managing a work window and/or being on-call, then its manageable

Ah, it had to be St. Louis. Too bad DC-2 Savvis isn't hiring. Sounds like the perfect shift.

That's always been my favorite shift. I managed to grab it once in my life, felt like the king of the world. Too bad it's not in the NW or I'd consider it.
