I went to see Saw 4 last night. Not my favorite genre but oh well. I actually liked the first 3 in the series. And I've never had a problem understanding the plots for the first 3. But Saw 4 has thrown me for a loop.
The opening scene shows Jigsaw on the autopsy table and they take a wax covered tape out of his stomach. The detective listens to the tape and the the real movie begins. I think the autopsy scene in reality is the last scene in the film only time shifted to the beginning. Anyway, where I get lost is near the end of the movie they show the new jigsaw in a continuation of Saw 3. Jigsaw dying on the table in the warehouse and the same detective playing part of this game. How can he be part of the game when he didn't actually listen to the tape until jigsaw was getting an autopsy (Which presuably happened after the final scene from saw 3?
Confused? so am I. Anyone care to explain?
