Slightly off the topic, but I've worked a couple of nights at my old job and have been forced to listen to the horrible thing called yankee radio broadcasting. Are there any worse broadcasters in all of sports? Some of the comments even make Madden look like a friggin genius. "He would have had him out by a couple of feet, but he dropped the ball." "That's right. The ball went into the glove, and it came out of the glove and fell to the ground, and that's how he dropped it." (Tuesday night's game IIRC) Completely devoid of any emotions or any thought, as if they're just going through the motions of announcing the game, with absolutely no concern of being replaced by a better broadcaster.
Suzyn Waldman is the worst radio broadcaster in baseball in my opinion. Usually John Sterling does a pretty good job though.
This isn't just your opinion, it's a fact. She's an embarrassment to the sport, she's so bad. I would feel sorry for Yankee fans that have to listen to her, but it's bad enough they have to root for the Yankees.

SHe's really brought Sterling down. I'm an intense Yankee fan myself but those two make the games seem really boring - I have a hard time focusing on the action.
In the old days I used to watch the games on TV, mute the sound, listen to the radio. Now I watch the game on TV, mute the sound, and check out the action online.
And nobody cares.
It was very ugly. Smoltz+Traber=launchfest.Originally posted by: acheron
So I just came home from dinner and turned on the game. 12-4 Yanks. Fuck.

Red Sox fans complaining about their team... I wish the Indians had their problems.

I'm a Yankees fan and I'm glad that we won last night but I feel bad for John Smoltz. It's sad when a once great pitcher gets clobbered like that. I don't know what the Red Sox are going to do for pitching though. Lester and Beckett are as good a 1-2 combo as anyone in the AL has but beyond that it doesn't look that great. Yankees rotation is also messed up with Wang gone but at least we have 4 starters that have a good chance of going out there and pitching well. Only when Mitre is pitching is there a problem, at that point you just pray the Yankees offense goes crazy.
Yesterday was the perfect time for A-Rod. The Yanks had a big lead. Time for him to bear down and pad those stats!Originally posted by: dbk
Peace out John Smoltz. Hit some HRs, AROD.
