It's brutal how some places operate. One of my friends works at a place (not government) where her email hasn't been working for over 2 months. At one job, I waited a week to get a replacement mouse after my mouse died. I was using a fucking laptop mouse during that time. I brought my own mouse from home just so my hand didn't feel crinked at the end of the day.

This is what happens when people insist on doing things by committee.

They should just hand the project to 1 person and have them do the entire thing. It might still take 2 years because it's a lot of shit, but at least it's just 1 person being paid for it. When it's done as a group, they probably did the entire project 10 complete times then threw out 9 of the results.
I do engineering stuff for a living and I've drawn the exact same plans at least that many times in the past months. It's always little shit like the milk glass should be on the right side of the plate, so it's drawn that way. Then someone says move the glass to the left, so a new version is made with it on the left. In that time it was sent off to review and the review guy signed it off when it was on the right side. That goes into archive. Now he needs to check it with milk on the left side. Jesus christ.

The plate is a cute 2 million dollar idea, but... I liked how the pyramid actually showed you pictures of the food. How are kids going to remember what foods are in the protein group?

You understand American food no longer resembled what is in those pictures right? That is why it is being updated.

I think the major improvement here is how it only shows proportion. The old food pyramid says "servings" for everything. wtf does that even mean???

Grains are just downright delicious, that is why Can't live without pizza, pasta, and sandwiches. Well you could, but why would you want to?

I'm a little concerned about the "Dairy" in it's liquid form being suggested as needed. Do we really need to drink the milk of another mammal on a regular basis? Does any other species do this?

Dairy is good for Sour Cream, and Cheese...(for pizza, of course)

err most species don't do anything, let alone bake a pizza.
