blackinches did have a few problem with the psu because the cables were so stiff, and the karajan audio card wouldn't fit cause it would hit the 120mm fan in the back. but other than blackinches is very happy with the new computer and is installing everything as blackinches posts this.

no blackinches' desk is made of glass.

yes the mousepad is old and crappy. but it was a gift from blackinches' first college roommate.

blackinhes' desk is pretty sturdy. but when blackinches' types vigorously it does shake a little. it is an office depot desk so you can check it out there usually.

Well, blackinches has a nice rig there.

I'll have my new rig up and going here before too long hopefully. The next weekend (not the one starting tomorrow), which is just before my birthday I should hopefully have it all up and running.

Pics will certainly be in order, as its been a while since I've taken any and I've made quite a bit of changes.

I was thinking the same thing.
I think in the review I read (on Anandtech) they said it went over the memory that was installed.

the cooler does go over it but doesn't block the dimm slot. but the hs does block blackinches' first pci 1x slot.

Waylay00 thinks that blackinches will enjoy his baby. Did blackinches have a problem installing the 7700 or was it like you would on any other heatsink? Waylay00 suggest that you get another UV cathode too.

Glpster is most impressed. Most impressed indeed.

Glpster also wonders if blackinches wouldn't mind taking a DC volt meter to his Modstream and seeing what his 12v line is reading.

Glpster's Modstream 450 is reading a bit low (idling at 11.78v and dropping to as low as 11.67 under heavy use of the 6600GT). OCZ says that this is naught to be concerned about, unless I should be experiencing any instability (which Glpster is not).

Why does Glpster suddenly feel compelled to refer to himself in the 3rd person?

Bobsmith thinks glpster is wondering why blackinches refers to himself in third person like Bobsmith is wondering. bobsmith is also wondering if the modstream has voltage adjusters on it so you can correct for low 12v rails.

Sadly, the Modstream (unlike the Powerstream) does not have adjustable rails.

Glpster did however consult with OCZ who claimed that these voltage readings should not cause me any problems, but should I experience any instability or the 12v rail gets pulled lower with future upgrades, that they do have a 3 year warranty.

Glpster thinks he was satisfied but wants to see what other Modstream owners are getting.
