Broncos are a national team now too. Anyone catch how many Bronco fans were in the stands there in SD yesterday? A friend of mine who went to the game said it was nearly half Bronco fans. He would be down getting a beer, the crowd would go wild and he assumed something good happened for the Chargers and nope - it was a huge sack by the Broncos.

Tebow is making that happen. Not only is he winning on the road against division teams (all 3 on the road, all 3 he has started this year) but he is taking away their home stadium advantage.

Not turning the ball over in defensive games is instrumental to their success, and generally why teams with sh!tty passers don't succeed in the long run. Tebow was pretty good in 3rd down, and that's unexpected. Chargers clearly sacrificed the rush pressure to make Tebow pass, but they couldn't capitalize.

Actually, to me, this is just thing...

What Tebow has done so far:

1) Extremely limited turn over potential.

2) Generally 50-100 yards per game on the ground. Usually tallying up a few first downs, and occasionally a TD.

3) Generally 100-200 yards per game with his arm, completing about 50% of his passes. Usually about 1 or 2 TDs per game.

4) Generally 1 or 2 accurate passes late in the game, to move the ball when needed.

None of the above are marks of a premier passer. But the above combination seems to be doing enough to eek out wins with a defense that seems to be contending quite well.

I have to agree with the bronco fan here (though AFC championship game might be a bit much)...

All people have done is suggested what Tebow can't do. And even when he does pretty much all of them, they still suggest various other doubts.

About the only doubt I have about Tebow is health. Eventually, the hits will add up. But the kid isn't much different than a RB who takes even more vicious hits.

But as far as Tebow is considered, he is basically doing very little bad things (IE - turnovers), and doing just enough to put his team in position for a W. Since teams are judged on the W/L column, that combination of his seems to be working quite well.

There are tons of variables at play, but it's worth noting that the teams Orton played against are a combined 35-20 (.636). Tebow's are 31-35 (.470). Oakland is the only likely playoff team that he's beaten - and he did play very well in that game.

Not sure if serious. Yes, with hardly any offseason, it doesn't take time for things to gel. Heck, even Fox has said that's why the Defense is playing better.
