If he plays like shit next week and doesn't give the Broncos any chance of winning, I think you'll start to hear some rumblings all the way to next season. With as much attention as Tebow got for winning just this season, he'll have people turn against him just as fast.

wow you're a fool, what exactly does the 18-1 Patriots "don't count" even mean? You're bragging that a 7-3 record with "ugly" wins and uglier losses is solid, but getting to the SB is meaningless?

Orton capably managed games in Chicago, but the Bears flipped him for a Pro Bowl QB with a cannon arm. I can't predict the future, but I doubt Tebow will ever be traded for a Pro Bowl QB. Passer rating is not a great stat, but Orton's career rating is still slightly above Tebow's. Elway shelved Orton for 3 reasons: the team's apparently lost season, fans demanding Tebow get a chance and since Josh McDaniels drafted TT too high, they wanted to see what they're paying for.

Most of the "naysayers" like myself don't care how Tebow does this season or next. As AstroManLuca said it best, reversion to the mean will take care of things itself. But feel free to cling to your .700 hopes otherwise.

They went undefeated during the regular season but they did not finish the job. I was actually rooting for and watching that entire Super Bowl. So, they did not go undefeated like the Dolphins.

I am not clinging to a .700 record, I pointed out he had that record despite his poor throwing mechanics and people ragging on him nonstop. Give him some benefit as he has a winning record as a QB as of now. He found a way to win. He wins, he did it this year and we shall see a full season next year. I say play him and maybe Barkley will fall into their lap is he regresses more.

My point wasn't that the Broncos have the option of playing Cam...clearly they don't. My point is that you shouldn't emphasize the wins as much as you do because you said yourself you'd rather have a QB with less wins.

TT is now 7-4 as a starting QB this season (Orton was 1-4 and eventually let go). QBs get the credit and the blame for much of their team's records. He had done a good job in most of his games and props to him. He needs to improve his throwing greatly.

I hope the Panthers build a better team around Cam to help the team get their record up.

Did you not see where I specifically mentioned the regular season for the '07 Patriots? Is there some reason you keep reiterating my point about why it was stupid for you to extrapolate the Broncos record under Tebow? You've basically done nothing but highlight that point, while completely missing that I'm making a joke extrapolating Orton's record.

JHumeC. Do you not understand what humor is, at all? That's the entire point, Orton is a backup caliber QB and so it would be funny if he'd have led the Chiefs on a win streak while Tebow leads the Broncos on a losing streak, after people kept harping on Tebow being better than Orton.

A record of 7-3 to me could be extrapolated for any QB as far as I am concerned. The Bears this year and the Lions were 7-3 I believe, but you see what happened, it would be guessing is all.

The Patriots went undefeated, they had the caliber of team to do it. You need an AWESOME QB to even come close to it these days in the NFL and the Broncos do NOT have that right now. I picked the Packers to win at least 14 games this year and really would have liked to see them go 16-0 but they did not.

TT has a winning record still. It won't be that way for long if he doesn't improve his mechanics. As of now, he wins. That is what matters in the NFL. When they get beat down in their first playoff game, I think Elway will look at QBs in the draft. He regressed greatly the last two games and I hope he can reverse it.

2009 and 2005 they won the AFC North and made the playoffs instead of backing in with a loss and barely making the 6th seed thanks to everyone else in contention also losing.

Granted, they immediately lost in both appearances, and while they have a chance of beating Houston this season in the wild card round, its really only because of how woeful Houston is without their key offensive players, going from front runner to the #1 seed to missing a bye thanks to losing their last 3 games.

uh, sure there is reason, and probably the one reason that actually matters for a QB, he can't throw, he has shown no signs of consistent improvement throughout the season, and now that teams are starting to figure him out (ie don't play prevent against him in the 4th, play him like you have the entire game where he looks completely inept), he only seems to be getting worse.
