Just got mine ~1 hour ago.

Micro Center had a deal where you get the Corsair H80 for free with a SB-E purchase. The odd thing is that they only had one H80, so I got lucky. I was the first one there.

They included a letter with it. I'm not sure why as it seems to be ment for their BYOC sales people.

The letter states "Intel officially will launch the world's fastest, smartest PC processor for desktops this upcoming Monday, November 14th. Initially supplies will be limited with more on the way in weeks ahead but all locations have both launch parts en route to them." Then it goes into the two CPUs and the pricing.

It goes on to say "Also, as a special offer to promote this launch, with any purchase of one of these processors, the customer will get a FREE Corsair Liquid Cooling solution." Then it goes into pricing for the three Asus motherboards.

Adam did you see whether they had the ASUS Rampage IV X79 or any EVGA X79 boards at all? Not sure if the Rampage even made it in to Newegg, or it went out of stock before I got out of bed this morning. And EVGA seems late to the party _again_.

The H80 lists LGA2011 as compatible, so it must include a bracket that fits.

I bought one of those from Gateway and a week later the faster, smaller process Pentium90 came out. Luckily Gateway was pretty cool back then and let me trade up. Still got a hosin' but not quite as bad.

The H80 is still unopened. The box lists socket 2011 as being supported.

Micro Center had three X79 motherboards available. All by Asus. The P9X79 Deluxe, P9X79 Pro, and X79 Sabertooth.

I just saw the rampage as 'sold out' VERY early this morning. I don't know if they actually got stock or not. From the last couple Asus board releases (both AMD and Intel) the max OC has been very similar between the rampage and sabertooth. I don't need quad-sli support, and more non x8/16 slots is actually a good thing for me. I am hoping for 4.6ghz and will be happy; that will put me about 1ghz higher than I am now with 2 extra cores. I have 8x4GB DIMMs waiting to throw-in as well.

I think Gigabyte missed the boat on their X79 SKUs. Their top-end items are only 4 DIMM, while essentially everyone else has 8 DIMMs for their top couple boards. Baffling to me on this...
