I say go for it. If it goes up in smoke you can always buy another one.
Hi Chainspell, which ramdisk are you using?
I don't think you actually own it. You haven't posted in any threads from the PC.
Who you talking to? Who cares if i don't own it? And who cares if i do? Wtf is this? Do i have to post credible verifiable 100% proof? Cuz you're gonna have to fucking come into everyone's house. Fucking retard think a few steps forward before you talk. What the fuck does it matter?

I'm now a proud owner of a 3960X. At stock, this system performs equally to my 980X running at 4.5GHz using the distributed.net client.
Pat.
Accuser: I shall protect my exorbitant investment! Tis peasant is not my equal!
Accused: I have to buy an SB-E system now!
Me: I srsly hope both of them are not trolling this thread.:whiste:
So I think I got my workflow organized. I use a ramdisk to host the current project files I'm working on. on Vertex raid takes 1 minute to open a project with about 150 clips on premiere, takes 5 seconds on RAM Drive, and it takes like 3 minutes on a regular drive.
I got my RAM Disk to save and load on shutdown and start, and there's an auto backup option every x minutes.

What's your ramdisk? I expected better numbers from the SB-E platform.
Here's what my ramdisk (superspeed) nets me on the much slower (less bandwidth regardless the DDR3 speed) SandyBridge platform:
I was posted in jest to this.
Whatever, you people can get a bit twitchy. Take long deep breaths, count to 10 slowly, think of butterflies and petunias, etc.
