SB61G2 - 2.4C@3500 mhz

Wow, This little box rocks. You can only set the fsb to 255 but with SetFSB I was able to get it running stable at 275.
My XMS 3200 memory cant go much past 220 so I cant try the limits of the CPU yet.

EDIT: 3436 prime stable for an hour. Gona try 3500
Not bad for a shoebox.

Edit #2: Flashed to the new SB65G2 bios and don't have to use SetFsb. FSB can go up to 355 now. Now stable at 3500 with 1.55 vcore:Q

Running prime95 right now at 3436 mhz an memory at 190.9.

I currently have a 2.6C running at 255FSB with 1:1 DRAM ratio with memory at 3,8,4,4 timings. So thats 3.3Ghz. I'm only using stock voltage too!
I have yet to go beyond 255 with SETFSB, but I'm very happy with the system clock at 1025 FSB.

Alright guys mabey you can give me some feedback. This box has a 200 watt power supply and I am having problems above 3436 with the box spontainiously rebooting when I run prime and unreal2 at the same time. Do you think that this rebooting problem has anything to do with power supply issues or have I just hit the ceiling? The reason that I ask is when I have overclocked in the past and reached the ceiling, prime or games would just put me back at the desktop and not reboot the computer.

By the way I finally broke 12000 in 3dmark with my radeon 8500

I'd tend to think that's a power supply problem, especially since you're running the CPU so high AND trying to power the graphics card. I think for this type of set up.. you need 300W PS or higher.

The most powerful power supply I can get for this thing is a 220 watt.
Think it would be worth the upgrade?

Well I flashed the bios to the new SB65G2's bios and it is now stable at 291 fsb running prime and unreal2 together.
The reason that I run both at the same time is prime seems to only use about 55% of the processor.

You dont have much choice with the shuttles due to the lack of space between the cpu and the drive cage. The stock heat pipe is what I am currently using but will be replaced soon with a ported 8942 alpha. Heat pipes are great for notebooks but are less than desireable in a 3.5 gig situation.

You need to run 2 instances of Prime95 with HyperThreading processors. Just create two shortcuts and put a switch at the end of each shortcut property, -a0 and -a1.

Do you put the switches on the command line of the shortcuts? Do you put them on both shortcuts or just one?

You also need to cut the memory requirement of each instance by 1/2.
