I know these new promotions are for new users. I am a current user with a contract for $39.99 a month for a year that will expire at the end of this month November. Is thier anyway for me to extend my contract for another year at this discounted price or atleast $29.99 a month? Has anyone extend their service? I think I am suppose to pay $49.99 a month after my contract expires.

This is nice too. And, aren't the upload speeds supposed to be increasing one step up for nearly all thier setups sometime this month?
where folks with 128k up will soon be getting 256k up and 256k up will be getting 384k up.

i work at sbc, to get it at 26.95 you need to have local and long distance w/ sbc, and have a "solutions" package on your local service. if you dont, its 29.95. you get 394-1.5 down speed and i think 154 up, might be 254, cant remember. there is a year contract w/ an early term fee of $200. you also get a free modem after an instant credit or you can get a 2wire wireless modem, built in firewall, router 802.11b wireless. for 50 after a 99 rebate that arrives in 6-8 weeks
there are lots of requirements,,,depending on the rep you get when you call in, will depend on what you get. sometimes if you have not had service w/ sbc for 2 years, there is a $200 deposit
if you live in the midwest state, MO, KS, AR, OK, TX, and want this service, PM me and i'll see what i can do about calling you at home and getting this set up.

SBC will be raising Dl speeds to 3.0 in the near future. Not gonna elaborate but its gonna happen. Only thing is your line is gonna have to support it.
YMMV on the sbc offerings. I just tried the Dell link above for a couple different address/locations and an SBC offering isn't listed... just Comcast or DirectLink. HOWEVER, earlier this week I had gone through a different SBC link and at least one of the above locations had an SBC-Yahoo offering.
