i work at sbc, to get it at 26.95 you need to have local and long distance w/ sbc, and have a "solutions" package on your local service. if you dont, its 29.95. you get 394-1.5 down speed and i think 154 up, might be 254, cant remember. there is a year contract w/ an early term fee of $200. you also get a free modem after an instant credit or you can get a 2wire wireless modem, built in firewall, router 802.11b wireless. for 50 after a 99 rebate that arrives in 6-8 weeks

there are lots of requirements,,,depending on the rep you get when you call in, will depend on what you get. sometimes if you have not had service w/ sbc for 2 years, there is a $200 deposit

if you live in the midwest state, MO, KS, AR, OK, TX, and want this service, PM me and i'll see what i can do about calling you at home and getting this set up.

the asterisk/fine print says

*Pricing available if SBC Yahoo! DSL is ordered online or if purchased as part of a qualifying SBC bundle that includes available SBC local toll or SBC long distance service(s).

This is nice too. And, aren't the upload speeds supposed to be increasing one step up for nearly all thier setups sometime this month?

where folks with 128k up will soon be getting 256k up and 256k up will be getting 384k up.

Doesn't say anything about other requirements...just a 1 year commitment. My $39.95 1.5/256 package went down to $36.95.

EDIT: You do have to have a qualifying "package" to get this rate with SBC. Packages such as caller ID/callback/conference etc start at $29.95. Not so good

I think he/she just hit the adjacent number... I think they meant 384 down... 128 up, which, according to an earlier thread, is going to be increased to 256 up.

I already have SBC for local and LD. Wonder if I can just have them switch me to the new pricing.

i'm just curious, where did you see the information about the caller id stuff, other than Tommygun89. The print i saw said it was ok if you order online.

Yes it does. Read the fine print. You have to be All Distance customers to be eligible for the promotion.

Order SBC Yahoo! DSL for a one-year term for $26.95 per month for SBC SNET All Distance® customers ($31.95 per month for non-All Distance® customers), and receive a $149 SBC Yahoo! DSL Wireless Home Networking kit with $99 rebate (taxes and a $14.95 shipping and handling fee apply)**, or receive an Instant Credit on a DSL modem -- that's a $99 value (taxes and a $12.95 shipping and handling fee apply)***. Plus, get free activation and a free self-installation kit. Sign up now and you will also receive the following limited time offers

"...or as long as you have two features, or have your cingular cell phone coming in on your home phone bill (you get 20% off you cell phone bill right off the top) you can get it for 26.95. Or quick and easy we'll set you up with 29.95 for now, until you get your cingular phone switched over to your home phone, then you can give us a call." Quote from the sbc guy I just got off the phone with.

I personally liked that cingular billing option. it'll save me $12 a month when I get it switched over, then another $3 on my dsl.

It's in the fine print. Also the SBC rep I called confirmed this.

ok, so im stubborn. the print i saw said, online order or solutions package. so if you called the rep, its not an online order anymore, right? then you would need the package.

OK, I'll repost the section from above from the fine print and highlight the important information for you:

Order SBC Yahoo! DSL for a one-year term for $26.95 per month for SBC SNET All Distance® customers ($31.95 per month for non-All Distance® customers), and receive a $149 SBC Yahoo! Just a bump, go to www.dell4me.com/broadband and get it for 26.95/month with 1 year contract and free modem, activation, and pay only hsipping.. $12.95 - whats more is that you get a $75 rebate from dell, bringing it down to 21.77 / month before taxes..

dell offer ends 11/30!

Where can I find info on adding my cingular wireless bill to my sbc bill and getting $20 off?

I know these new promotions are for new users. I am a current user with a contract for $39.99 a month for a year that will expire at the end of this month November. Is thier anyway for me to extend my contract for another year at this discounted price or atleast $29.99 a month? Has anyone extend their service? I think I am suppose to pay $49.99 a month after my contract expires.
