SBLive Platnuim 5.1 Input Problem

I have a SBLive 5.1 Platnium and I'm having a annoying problem with the input. The thing worked great, but then I put in a new motherboard, and after that, the input won't work. I use the input to pass the sound from my Realmagic DVD decoder to my sound card. If I plug directly into the decoder I get sound, so I know that's not the problem. I made sure the line-in wasn't muted in the volume control planel. I even tried using a enternal cable going from the AUX port of the decoder to the AUX port of the sound card. I've tried moving the sound card to different PCI slot's...uninstalling the driver and re-intsalling it. I'm running Windows ME and my motherboard is a Abit KT7A-RAID. It's weird that the sound card will work fine except for the input...can the input just be shot and the rest work fine?

I have a Live Platinum 5.1 and RealMagic DVD connected internally (only way I could do it with all the other junk I have in this thing). I connected the DVD Line Out to the Auxiliary In connector on the Live so I have to make sure Auxiliary is not muted in the mixer. For an external connection, are you sure you had the DVD Stereo Out connected to the Live Line In, and your speakers connected to the Line Out on the Live? After putting in a new part it always drives me nuts reconnecting all this stuff!

Yea I've done all those things. I've owned this decoder for almost two years, and the Platnium 5.1 for a couple of months...I have a SBLive Vaule hooked up to the decoder before that. I never had a problem getting it to work, and that's going through like 4 motherboard and processor upgrades. No matter what I do I can't get the sound to pass through to the SBLive...right now in order to hear sound in my DVD movies I have to plug my Dolby receiver into the decoder. I then can either listen to it over my Infinty home theater speakers or by pluging my head phones into the receiver. It's not a huge deal since it's right next to my PC, but I would just like to know why the input all of a sudden stopped working, but the rest of the card works fine. The only thing I haven't tried is putting the sound card in one of my other PC's.

Do you have the Line In setting in the volume controls unmuted?
For awhile I couldn't get sound through my SBLive X-Gamer card when I had it hooked up with my Hauppage WinTV GO card using the cable to connect it to the Line In on the SBLive and on the tv tuner card. I had it setup correctly, but I wasn't hearing any sound. I could hear sound if I hooked up my speakers directly into the tv tuner card; however, when using the cable that came with the tv tuner I couldn't hear anything. I finally figured out that the Line In setting in my Windows volume control was on Mute. I had to go into Option->Properties and check the Line In box to show, so I could unmute it. Now everything works fine.

No it's not muted..that's first thing I always check when playing a DVD movie, because for some reason everytime I reset windows, it always automaticly set's the line-in to mute.
