The stories from that other fella @ OCN about first receiving a Halloween costume, then a Twisters game, instead of the ram certainly add a "twist" to this Hot Deals thread (sorry, just couldn't resist the pun).

The fact that he is the only one that has received either order adds to the mystery.

I guess we will all know in due time.

Seems safe enough with Amazon, also in for one. Will post updates as I get them.

Ninja costumes for the 8 gb dominator kits. Haven't got the package for the 16 gb kits--samurai swords, perhaps?

That's just effed up. I'm glad my order was canceled, now.

I'm curious as to whether or not those who got ninja costumes will ever see a refund.

OK, guys. Whatever you receive without a real ram, please report for the refund. Besides, you guys must leave a negative feedback on Amazon about this scam. We need to boycott this seller.

And don't let them con you into withdrawing your negative feedback until the issue is completely resolved, either.

According to complaints on their BBB page, they've allegedly convinced people to withdraw their negative feedback in exchange for a refund or return label, then became completely unreachable after it was withdrawn.

There is also at least one complaint of someone getting the wrong item and being stuck with it; not receiving any kind of refund at all.

These guys sound like real scum. I can't believe that they're allowed to sell on Amazon.

I guess tomorrow i will sic the wife (former loan collector) on them, inform them that they're what, say, a dozen of us on this site, and the same or more at OCN that are fixing to band together to make some noise against their ripoff site.

After reading your posts I am concerned mine will be screwed up as well. I have not received it yet with est delivery of 15-20th. If any of you get any good method for refund please post it to this thread along with where you posted negative feedback, etc

EDIT: I looked into the return to be ready for it once I get the wrong item in the mail and these guys are a reseller for some bogus sounding limited liability company.

Had a chat with Amazon and we are all guaranteed through them to get our money back should the seller become unresponsive

This really sucks as a buyer, thinking you got a great deal. BUT DAMN! 4 NINJA costume! Im ROFL as I am typing this message. Sorry, I can't help to think why they would send people ninja costumes. But then if it is a scam, you'll get your money back from Amazon.

Not sure why it's such a mystery as reading some of the links answers the questions. It sounds like a UPC or item # error. Something got mismatched with item names and item #s on the seller's end, so when they listed on amazon they listed by the name (as what most consumers would use) but had the price of the real item number. So they get all these orders for this specific item number, which when they check the stock room for that item # it's in this case a Ninja costume. Order form says John Doe ordered 4 of this item #, and this item # is a ninja costume... so John Doe gets 4 ninja costumes.

Yea, that's what I'm thinking as well. Hope this gets resolved by Amazon and works out for you guys.

I have pretty well quit ordering from Amazon 3rd party vendors. At Christmas last year I had 3 out of 4 orders go bad. 2 were not as advertised and one delivered my gift to Lousiana instead of my place in Tennessee and it got real ugly between us before Amazon finally stepped in and forced them to refund. They never did admit to a simple shipping error and were very threatning.

It is beginning to appear that they make a habit of mislabeling stuff. Not only with the original DDR3-1866 deal, but also with an ear bud deal that was jumped on over at Head-Fi and instead of ear buds they shipped a box of condoms.

http://www.head-fi.org/t/610611/scosche-iem856m-reference-in-ear-monitors-sometimes-14-99-on-amazon

After a while they loose the benefit of the doubt. I will personally cross these guys off my list of reputable/dependable vendors.

Someone should probably make a stickied thread of which Sellers not to buy from. Similar to the fs/trade forums.

well ... crap

I was going to cancel it but amazon says my order has already shipped. I really don't want to hassle with returning a Halloween costume. :/
